Unit Study for Ancient Rome

Please review all websites before allowing your children to see them.  Many of the sites are for adult background knowledge and not meant for children.  In addition, even sites for children could contain nude artwork and pagan info, so please use your discretion for your family.  Some additional resources you may want to consider are Ancient Rome Notebooking Pages (or if you prefer, here is the whole Ancient History Set), Ancient Rome Lapbook and Roman Empire Unit Study.

Salt and Flour map

Here is the recipe.  Some other hints are, it makes it easier if you form it on a blackline map.  Secondly, you can color the dough with food coloring if you don’t want to bother with paints.

THANK YOU for reminding us parents to still be on the look out for adult orriented materials regardless if they are for studies or not...sometimes even educational websites are hidden links to "Adult" material.

This would have been a wonderful help to me last year. Rome is neat to study. I am sure this will help someone else too.

Your new blog is looking great too.

Aug. 6, 2007 - we're in Rome too

Posted by tlpgina

We're finishing up MOH I (4th qtr) so we're still in Rome. I'll have to check you're resources later and see if there are any I could use. Too busy right now...Oh, and on the unbinding...just take your books to Kinko's or other printing store (maybe office max or something) and they take them off and 3 ring punch them. Usually it's $5-10, depends on the size of the book. It just makes it so much easier to copy the reproducible pages.

Hi- thanks for stopping by- I am busy but it is all in good things. August and June are always the busy months for me. Having the fair and school starting at the same time has always proved a juggling act. How are your doctor appointments going? It seems like such a steep mountain you are climbing and step by step seems so slow but it is the only way when the helicopter isn't available! (Metaphorically speaking) :) hang in there - Love your Rome lapbook ideas!

~Little One~

Little One is a very imaginative 6 year old, who loves Star Wars, Narnia, and Disney. He loves to play with small people and figures that he can make interact. Unfortunately, he has suffered from several physical issues, but he doesn't let them slow him down!
