More Wisdom from Little One

Posted in Out of the Mouths of Babes

Well, I'm already really frustrated and it's only 11:00 am.  It's just been "one of those mornings".  I was already upset with Prince Caspian last night because one of his OCD problems is he is terrified of spiders.  I mean this is a HUGE phobia and it has caused many sleepless nights for him.   Well, he talks about spiders biting and Black Widows and stuff to Little One and last night Little One was terrified to go to bed.  He just absolutely refused to lay down in his room, so I laid down with him in my bed and he finally fell asleep around 11:30.  It was too late for Hubby and I to watch anything because he had to get up a little earlier today.  So I missed my stress release for the night.  Then this morning was a typical morning, I am sore and tired and Prince Caspian is acting obnoxious.  Prince Caspian is always like this until he gets his medicine.  Today it was sing every word that he spoke as loud as he could and since he talks nonstop it was a constant for about a half an hour.  Plus he was just acting bouncy and spacey.  Think of Woody Woodpecker combined with Taz and then you can get a picture of what my son is like first thing in the morning!  Ok, so the last straw was when I gave the boys the wrong cereal bowl for breakfast and Little One decided to slide his brother's bowl over to him.  I turn around and and there is Rice Crispies all over the table.  ARRRRRR!  I told Little One was really upset with him, since this was a mess that didn't have to be made.  A few minutes later he says to me:

"You shouldn't be mad at me anymore because Larry Boy from Veggie Tales says, 'Hold onto your anger and it will hold onto you.'"

Geesh! How can I argue with that!!!

Such wisdom from such a little one. Too cute! Rice crispies on the floor... lysol in the hair - that's what happened to me. I'm anxious for this day to be over, too. I could use some of your little ones wisdom for my mistake. lol.

LOL!!! I learned that lesson when I ended up with a spastic colon years ago. The doctor told me to stop holding it in.

Anywho, you sound like you are handling things rather well. I haven't a clue how I would handle a Woody Wood Pecker & Taz mix. I can tell you that I LOVE both of them!

A friend of mine just got her OCD ADHD son a service dog which she claims has helped him loads. Here's her web page http://www.seilerclan.info/ Ann Marie is really nice and her son Kyllian sounds like your son. I'm sure she would always be willing to discuss things with you for what she's been doing to handle her son's special needs.

Blessings dear friend,
Vicki
