Weekend Happenings
Posted in Home and Family
Hello! I hope everyone had a good weekend! We did. A lot has gone on. A few days ago, I got my blood work back and I am still anemic, so I am going to try harder to make sure I get my vitamins. I am also suppose to add 2 iron pills a day. I'm suppose to go in for more testing, I'm not sure when I'm going to do that. Little One had to go to the doctor Saturday morning because his eye is red. His doctor wasn't quite sure what was wrong so he wants him to see an eye specialist ASAP. We didn't hear back on Saturday for a time, so I will probably get a call early Monday. Saturday Prince Caspian (our oldest) was home for the day and it went really well, but Hubby was disappointed because he had to do a lot of running and didn't get to spend a lot of time with PC. I got to listen in to the Let's Get Organized seminar by Cindy Rushton for part of the day. Sunday, I finally got to go to church. I had to miss the last two weeks because of medicine problems. I was on some medicine for my fibromyalgia to help me sleep and it was causing severe insomnia . I've always been a bit of a night owl, but even I realized it was a pretty bad problem when I was finally falling asleep around 5:30 in the morning!!! Well, I'm off that medicine and I'm now taking melitonin (sp?) and it is working MUCH better. Then tonight I we got to go to a field trip to the airport. They were fixing some of the planes and the kids got to tour the plane and sit in the cockpit. Little One got to get on the intercom and say "This is the captain speaking..." I'm not sure who had more fun though, him or Hubby! lol!!! Anyways, the field trip was at 9:30 at night and we didn't get home until 11:30. LO was so tired, but it was worth it since this was a once in a life time thing. We even got to see one of the planes being towed into the hangar. While we were there we also got to talk to a young lady who lives in Germany. She had been an exchange student a couple years back with the family that arranged the field trip and she and her sister were here for a visit, so it was really cool talking to her. She is taking Spanish right now because the college she is going to wants them to know two foreign languages so LO had to count to 15 in Spanish for her. lol!!! I told him he should ask her how to say "hello" in German (he LOVES collecting foreign words!) and we found out it's not much different than in English. I plan on getting pictures up of the field trip in a few days, probably for Wordless Wednesday of Show and Tell Friday, so be looking for those! I hope everyone has a wonderful week! And please leave a comment to let me know you were here!

Good Morning! It's Monday and I'm busy cleaning out closets and moving furniture around. School is around the corner and I need a new look around here. Busy, busy, busy. Isure hope you can find some relief from being anemic - I bet you are so tired. Low iron does get you tired, that I know. Well, have a great day, friend.

What fun, Lynn! I'd love to take a field trip like that one. Not sure how we'd work that out, but I hope our home school group figures it out at some point. :')
I'm still praying for you and your family. Hope you have a nice summer time.
