Tightwad Tuesday
Dollar Tree-

I have found that I can get some really good and inexpensive things from Dollar Tree (everythings a dollar!). This particular trip I made out in school stuff!!! I got 3- 1st grade workbooks (two of them came with cd's), the first 10 lessons in I Can Learn Spanish book and CD and 4 packs of flashcards. The flashcards are:
Animals of the Air
Animals of the Land
Animals of the Sea and
Geography
These have really nice photos on the front and info on the back. If I don't want to use them as flashcards I can always put them in his notebooks or lapbooks. The Spanish curriculum has really fun songs in Spanish such as Head, Shoulders, knees and Toes, It's Raining, It's Pouring, La Bamba, Are You Sleeping and many more. The book has vocabulary and a few activities.

Wow. You must have a neat dollar store. I'll have to check mine and see what they have. I've found Disney Princess flash cards before and craft supplies.

I usually take a good look around the Dollar Tree near my Mom whenever we fly in. I too have picked up some real bargains there over the years! Though my boys are probably getting a bit big now, since they do mainly K-3 stuff. :o(

We love the Dollar Tree! In fact, while running errands today, we plan to stop by there since we will be visiting Hobby Lobby to get their scrapbooking pages, which are 50% off! (It is right next to the Dollar Tree.)
Do you have a Staples in your area? They have a teacher day sometime in August, I believe. You can get lots of freebies there.

Hi Lynn,
DH and I are taking our sweet grandchildren to the Newport, KY aquarium in two weeks. Jenn said that you all enjoyed it. How long do you think that it takes to see and do everything at the aquarium? We are staying in Newport overnight.
I hope you are feeling well too.
BIG HUGS,
Mama Karen

Wow! You really got some great deals, and at the dollar store, no less!! Ours doesn't seem to have those kinds of deals; it's mostly food and household supplies. I guess it's time to start poking into other dollar stores that I run across in my travels!! :)
Thanks for sharing, and have a lovely week!

The Dollar Tree is a great store. We usually get our school supplies (ex-notebooks, pencils, paper, earsers, etc.) from here, the 99cent store, or The Dollar General.
Gotta love these 'cheap' stores!
Thanks for sharing,
