Urgent Prayer Request Posted in Home and Family
My oldest son is being rushed to the hospital, if anyone reads this please pray for him. We are heading to the hospital now. Will update as soon as I can.

Thank you for your prayers! We are back home now. Boy, what a morning! We were about to walk out the door to go to church (literally we had just turned the lights out!) and the phone rang. Hubby didn't recognize the number but I did. I knew it was my mom's cell phone and since they are at church on Sunday mornings and they know we are too, I knew it couldn't be good. Well, Prince Caspian (PC, my oldest) was playing in the game room between services and another kid threw a tennis ball at him. The ball struck him in the back and PC fell forward and hit his head on the floor. We were told that he was somewhat unresponsive when my dad arrived at his side moments later and PC doesn't seem to remember what happened for a few moments after he hit his head so they believe he may have a mild concussion. Luckily, there are several doctors and nurses that go to church there and they were right there helping with the situation. PC was taken to the hospital on a backboard with head brace in an ambulance which he wasn't too happy about. We arrived at Children's approx. 30 minutes after the accident and PC was still in considerable pain and even had tears (which he doesn't have very often!). He has a big red mark on his back (hate to see the bruise it's going to make!!!) but luckily it missed any vital organs so the main concern is the head injury. I am somewhat concerned over this because the last serious head injury he had when he was 6 he had a seizure a week later. He also had a mild hit to his head when he broke his arm a week and a half ago which increases the risk of this head injury. Thanks again for the prayers.

Oh thank goodness he's alright and I'll continue to keep PC in my prayers that his head injury won't result in any new seizures. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers to Lynn as you keep a watchful eye over him in the coming days.

I am soooooooo happy to hear everything is good. We prayed for you in church. I am thankful your mom and dad had people there at the church to help right there on the site. What a blessing.
I pray that there be no aftermath of the fall. Prayers being prayed to surround your ds. ((HUGS))

Wow, what a story. I'm glad he's doing good, and hope that there are no permanent head injuries. I'm so glad that it wasn't worse.
I'll be updating on our weekend and Emily, the entry should be out in a bit. :)

Oh dear, I'm glad he is "okay" and will pray that he heals quickly without any after trama or the like. I hope the one who threw the ball learnt a lesson!
