Tightwad Tuesday

Posted in Tightwad Tuesday

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! PC (my oldest) is doing well.  He is still really sore where the ball hit him, but he responded through the night when woken up and he is showing no further signs of concussion.  We are still unsure about the details about what all happened but we have since heard that one of the doctors that was there immediately after the accident said he was unresponsive for about 4 minutes.  We have also been told that witnesses said our son went into a crouching position right before he got hit, but no one knows quite how he hit his head.  (I guess it will be another one of those mysteries like the one where he flew over the handle bars of his bike going UP hill.)

Well, my Tightwad Tuesday tip for today is check the clearance bins.  Heres a couple of goodies I have got recently.

Photobucket
A paper cutter for like coupons or gift wrap for $.25.

Photobucket
Post-it notes for Spanish vocabulary for $.50.

Hi Lynn,
Yes, checking those clearence bins is a great way to save $$$. Right now, clearance sales on all things that pertain to "summer" are drastically reduced because retailers have no where to store them. This is good news for us buyers.

I'm glad that PC is doing well. (-:

Wow post it notes in different languages?! Cool. Maybe I can find some in Chinese for my 12 yo! Glad PC is doing much better. Some kids are just accident prone and get into the strangest of accidents. He will have plenty of stories to tell!

I'm glad PC is okay! My youngest had a concussion this summer, too, but from a ride at the fair. She's doing well, thank God!

You did great with the clearance items. Last year, I found that same gift wrap cutter on clearance, but I paid more than 25 cents. I didn't even know Post-its came in languages!

your son is doing better.

I love to catch the clearance bins at places. Our local Office Depot always has stuff and one nice lady always marks them down even more for me :-)
