Show and Tell
My show and Tell this week will be at my nature blog. I have had both a slow week and a busy week. If you have been following my posts, you'll know my oldest son was at the ER twice this week. He seems to be doing fine. He had his EEG this morning, but they won't tell us anything for a few days. Since his CT was negative, I'm not too worried about the EEG. Plus he had an EEG only about a month and a half ago and nothing showed up at that time. I had a co-op meeting on Thursday night and I signed up to be an assistant teacher for Astronomy grades 2-5. I'm actually quite excited about this. I had astronomy in college and loved it. The teacher is going to be using the book Considering Creation with Astronomy by Jeannie Fulbright and I have that book already so it should work out great. The only part I'm nervous about is if she is absent, I have to take over the class. YIKES!!! Tomorrow (Friday), I plan to take it slow and get back to work on the homeschool room which got interrupted by the LONG ER visit yesterday. Ok, now I'm rambling. I guess it is contagious JoAnn... first Mary, now me. Hee Hee Hee!!!

Now don't wear yourself out, Lynn. :-) I just had to say it. Cause, I am not in a co-op this year, which is so not like me!

Hi,
I missed the posts about the head injury. So sorry to hear....All I know about it is from a program I saw about athletes with head injuries who keep playing, both that day, and during the season. Not good. These often take much longer to heal than realized, and subsequent hits, even minor ones can be much more serious than if there hadn't been a previous one. He's going to have to take it easy.
I'm co-oping for the first time in years....and doing the same astronomy book. Three of us are trading off. I'm doing the units on the Sun, Earth, Asteroids, Neptune/Uranus, and space travel, 2 weeks each. Except we're not teaching.....we're "supplementing" with hands on fun stuff. AUGHHHH.......... I'd much rather teach the material!~ I got rid of all my crafty type supplies ages ago! Now I need fun and games. HELP!!!! I think for the first unit on the sun I'm going to do something with heat the first week, and light/color the second week. If you know of any games or activities that don't need much in the line of supplies for about 6-7 kids from 3rd to 5th grade, let me know. ha.

I'm so glad that the test came back normal. I'm sure the next one will, too. I have an update on my situation posted, too. Fun stuff, you know. Thanks for your support. I will keep your little one in prayer, too. Is LO staying with you or your mom during this time?

I will have to go check your nature blog. I agree with Jenn, make sure you don't over do it with the co-op and your health. I do hope things are ok with the EEG, and that PC is fine. Oh, and I love the rambling thing, it's great that it's catching on. :)
