Hello! Welcome to my blog! My name is Lynn and I am a HS/ SAHM. I write here about my daily happenings at home with my two darling sons. I hope that this blog will be a blessing to other Homeschool mothers and be a light for my Savior Jesus. So please pour yourself a cup of coffee and sit back and enjoy! Thank you for visiting!
Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This is going to be a short post, but I wanted to say "hello!". Friday, we finished up our first week of the new school year. Little One did very well. On Thursday we also had our first co-op day in 2 years. We took a 2 year break because we were just sooooo burned out (or I should say I was burned out). Little One LOVED it. This year I'm
trying not to pile so much into our schedule so I don't burn out again. That last year we were in co-op was ridiculous and I DON"T want to repeat it!!!! From what I can remember (it WAS 2 years ago, so I could be mistaken!!!) PC (my oldest) was in AWANAS on Wednesday night, Thursday co-op (most of the day), Thursday night basketball, Friday 4-H, Saturday basketball. That was the year Little One had his surgury and had to wear his brace for 7 1/2 months and so he had a lot of doctor visits and some PT (almost weekly we had at least 1 medical appointment). His surgeon that we had to see was in Cincinnati (60 miles away) and could take up to 3-5 hours for the doctor visit not including travel time. Plus everytime he broke his brace we had to drive to Cincy to get it fixed which was several times at least until I got smart and duct taped it. That was also the year that we started therapy (in Dayton) for PC and he saw a doctor regularly for his medicines in Cincinnati. All the while, I was homeschooling PC!!! When I think back on this time, I still shudder!!! My health was already bad, and I just went down fast during this time. So you can see why I say I DON"T want to over do it. On the other hand, Little One really does need to be involved in a few things, especially with his big brother not here right now. He loves his time with his mommy, but he does need interaction with others and getting him in a few activities is the answer for us. We are also going to check into basketball through our church this winter.
On Saturday, we took Little One and PC to see the new Star Wars cartoon at the theaters. It was kinda corny, but the kids LOVED it and that was important to us. We knew going into it, that it was made for children so we didn't mind that it didn't meet the normal Star Wars standards. We had some free movie passes, so the price was right!!!
Well, this ended up a little longer than I thought it would!!!! lol!!! I hope you all have a great week!
Wow, you were busy two years ago. I just got tired reading about all you did. It's good that you are taking it slow and I'm sure you'll find the perfect things for LO to do, without it being too much. We haven't decided about the Star Wars movie, maybe wait until DVD. Glad the boys liked it. So what's your plans this week? I'll be busy with website work again, for the homeschool group, not mine. Plus we've stepped up for more things this year. I'll have to blog about it soon.
Well my cleaning break is over, have to go finish up. I hope you have a great day. :)

No wonder you were burned out! We tried a coop our 1st year homeschooling and it was difficult for us too. We were involved in to many activities.
It sounds like your school year is off to a wonderful start.
Have a great week,
Pam
Hi Lynn-sounds busy at your place. Phew-reading about the co-op & everything else 2 yrs ago sounds overwhelming. I'm so glad that season of busyness is past. Sounds like your little guy is enjoying school. The star wars movie sounds good. I bet my son would like it.
Thank you for your goodmorning notes on my cbox! Holly
Prince Caspian is a very energetic, creative 12 year old. He enjoys Narnia, Star Wars, reading, and building with Legos. He excels at History and Science. Unfortunately, he suffers from ADHD and OCD and he is staying at his grandparent's house for awhile.
~Little One~
Little One is a very imaginative 6 year old, who loves Star Wars, Narnia, and Disney. He loves to play with small people and figures that he can make interact. Unfortunately, he has suffered from several physical issues, but he doesn't let them slow him down!
