I see my owner posted on my blog while I was away. I thought my owner and her Dad would never come to my rescue! But, after a week of being trapped in our neighbors cluttered basement with two sets of twins chasing me around the basement all day, I was finally saved!! You see, I was out prowling our neighborhood about a little over a week ago and I saw that this house's basement door was open. I, being the curious and investigating cat I am, went inside to look around for a moment. When, all of the sudden, a door slammed behind me. I could see pretty well in the dark basement with my cat eyes but it wasn't a very comfortable feeling. I was trapped!!! I slept on an old chair the first night and then the next day I was awaken by four little kids running down the basement stairs. There was one set of twins that looked about five years old. Then another set of twins that was about three years old. I dodged under an old table, but to my horror, they spotted me. They started chasing me around the basement, it seemed like they were everywhere at once. Finally all of them gave up and went back upstairs! They didn't even let me out of the basement!! All they did was chase me around and give me sushi. I wasn't taking any sushi from these people that trapped me. After a week of this, I saw the basement door open one afternoon. I was hiding in the very back of the basement and I heard a voice say, "Eugene! Eugey-you! Come here Eugene." I sat up. It sounded like my owner's voice. She called again, and her Dad called and then I knew it was them at last! They had come to rescue me! I quickly went to my owner, trying to dodge out of the way of the four kids that had chased me during my stay. My owner's Dad carried me all the way back home. I was so happy to be back. They fed me food, which I hadn't had for a week. My owner's Dad kept talking about how skinny I was. My owner was very glad they found me. Later on that night I got to go inside the house and I got lots of pettings. It's good to be home! Sincerely, Eugene the Noble |

This is Eugene's owner. Eugene has been missing for about two days. I'm worried about him. I've been calling him and I can't find him anywhere. I'll tell him to post where he's been when he gets back. I hope he'll come back soon. ---Eugene's Owner--- |

See that picture of me in the top corner of my blog that I use as my background picture. Yeah, that's the one. Well, I'm sure you've wondered before why there is little, red, flowery petals sticking out a tiny bit behind my head. Well, the truth of the matter is, (clear throat) I-I-I had a-a rose sticking out from my collar. Yes, you heard me right. I guess my owner got mixed up right then that I was a boy kitty. My owner put it there and well, when she said it was going to be for my blog picture, I tried to hide the rose and look really noble. Of course, looking noble is a very easy thing for a cat like me to do. It just comes naturally to me. I just wanted to tell you kitties the truth about that picture, just please don't go spreading it around that Eugene the Noble had a rose attatched to his collar, okay?! Sincerely, Eugene the Noble P.S. Please read my entry below this one. I posted two today, that's the other one. |

We moved about four weeks ago. My owner had to go to soccer practice, so my owner's sister and her Dad actually moved me. They stuck me in the car and I had not one comfy place to lay because there was stuff everywhere! I finally a spot though, don't worry, I slept between my owner's Dad's chair and his back. Yeah, he had to lean forward a little the whole time he was driving but, you know, if you want to move a cat you've got to make a place for it to lie down unless you want your back scratched up. Anyway, I'm loving the new house. The neighborhood here is great!! There are lots of other cats in this neighborhood so I've been talking to them. There is this one cat who looks exactly like me (except not as handsome or strong) and the other day I walk up to him to tell him to get off of my property and he goes and starts clawing and chasing me! He chased me all over the neighborhood and still didn't catch me. Yep, he can't catch me!! There is this other cat named Alley who keeps just walking through my yard all the time, you'd think with all her walking she wouldn't be so fat, but she is. Then there is Alley's brother who's name is 7up. I kind of feel bad for the poor guy in that respect, I mean who would want to be named a soft drink? Would you? I know I wouldn't. I mean, what if my name was Dewy for Mountain Dew? I'm not sure if you would think me as the same noble cat as I am. Anyway, about 7up....he was browsing around my yard one day and I walk out there to give him a talking to, you know, tell him who this place belongs too! I start walking out there and he starts digging a whole to use the bathroom, right in my back yard too! Me, being the respectful cat I am, hid behind a tree until he was done. Then, I thought, "Maybe he hadn't seen me go behind the tree, maybe I can do my sneak attack on him! Yeah, that's what I'll do, my Sneak Attack." So, I crouch down low and I start wiggling out from behind the tree by moving my back legs. My owner was watching me the whole time from the window inside the house and I heard her laughing all the way outside when I began to do this! I thought, "Great, now she's going to ruin my sneak attack." But she actually didn't, which is good, because 7up didn't hear her laughing because he was to occupied in......what he was doing. I'm still crouching and scooting with my back legs on the ground when all of the sudden he whips his head around and looks at me. I immediately pretended like I was lying down and looking at the sky. I guess he didn't fall for it and he walked away and lied down under the hammock. I finally just gave it up and let him lie there for a little bit. He'll learn his lesson soon.... Sincerely, Eugene the Noble |

Sorry I haven't posted in a while kittys, a cat like me can be pretty busy, ya' know? On Monday I slaughtered two mice and brought them into the garage for my owner to see my marvelous work so I could get some praise for my awsome catch. Sure enough, I got a good petting but I don't think she liked the condition the mice were brought in. (Hmmm, I'll have to work on that. Mice are hard to catch in perfect condition. I mean you got to kill them somehow!) She likes me to catch mice because she doesn't want them to get in the house. She was telling me how the other night she had a dream and she opened the bathroom mirror to get her toothbrush and there was a huge mouse sitting there. So, you see, it's my duty as a big, brave tomcat to keep my house protected from all small rodents that try to get in the house and also that don't try to get in the house. Oreo, who lives here too, doesn't do anything hardly except eat and lie down on a soft mat, which is her bed. Even if there was 50 birds in the backyard of 50 varieties she probably wouldn't even move. Well.......she is 15 years old, you can't blame her for that, but still, she would probably let a mouse sleep with her, if the mouse dared. Oh, by the way, do you kitties know about Oreo's blog? It is: www.homeschoolblogger.com/PrincessOreo. She says she's a princess....so that means I'm a prince? Sincerely, Eugene the Noble |

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Something has happened, you can read more about it here. Clifford has died and even I am very sad. He was really the best dog ever, and, to tell you the truth, I enjoyed having him around and playing with him. He was some good competition, and I will miss him very much. Even though he did get more attention then me occasionally, well, a lot of the time, I still miss him very much.
Sincerely, Eugene The Noble

My owner and her family went on a vacation and they still aren't back. They left two bowls of water for me and a whole pie pan filled to the brim with cat food. They also left a whole big plant pot filled to the brim with cat food. Oreo and I are loving it. We can eat as much as we want. I finally had to tell Oreo that one bowl was mine and one was her bowl because she just kept eating and eating and I didn't want the food to run out before my owner got back. My owner's Dad also made us a little bed. He put a cardboard box down with a big, comfy pillow inside. Oreo and I love that also. I hope my owner gets back soon, though. I am due for a little petting. Sincerely, Eugene the Noble P.S. I will try to post again soon. I have to tell ya'll about my second mystery I solved. It was a hard one. |

I haven't had anymore cases since The Evil Mouse case. That was a pretty exciting case, don't you think?! The only really exciting thing that has been going on here is my arch enemy, Clifford. He thinks he is all cute and he gets to go inside the house and not me. Whenever he is around me all my hair stands up on my back. I don't mean for it too, it just does it automatically. Clifford wants to play with me, but, of course, I can not play with a dog. It's part of being a cat, if a dog comes up to you and wants to play and lies on the ground beside you, you can't play. You just have to stare at him dumbly and pretend like he is the stupidest thing in the world. And, if he starts to chase you, turn around and fight like a cat! Don't run up a tree or run around the yard wildy, just turn around and fight with your claws. That's why God gave you your claws, to defend yourself from your arch enemies. Want me to tell you a secret? Okay, I guess I will. One time, only once, I was being surounded by four dogs. They were closing in on all sides. I had nowhere to turn. All of the sudden, I just started swinging wildly with my claws. I was so fast you could hardly even see my claws. My little notch inside my head was turned up on the super-duper mode! I had all four dogs attacking me, they finally pulled a big chunk of my hair out on my back and I-I-I, well, I had to run for it. I ran up a tree and soon, after standing at the bottom of the tree for what seemed like hours, those little mutts left. Yes, that is a true story. Now remember, that was only once that I ran up a tree when dogs were after me, only once! Of course, there was that one time when I, uhhh.... He, he, I guess I better be going now before I get into another one of my stories of Eugene's past. I am sure you don't have time to hear it. Sincerely, Eugene the Noble

Well, it just so happens I had my first case in being a detective. Here is how it happened. The Evil Mice is what my first case is called. Yep, sounds pretty exciting huh?! I know you are just waiting to hear about my first case so I will stop babbling about the name and get on with the story. First of all, these little rodents are what this case is all about.
Sorry the words are on the picture, I needed that so I can sort the cases I solve in my files. Hope you don't mind. Ok, these two guys might look all cute and cuddly but they are really, deep down inside, villians. Yes, you heard right kitties, VILLIANS. Their names are Rotten and Cheese. Rotten is the grey mouse and the white mouse is called Cheese. It might be a little hard to see these two villians too good because this picture was taken in the dark and I had to go to Microsoft Office Picture Editor thingy (with the help of my owner) and make the picture lighter. I'm sure you are just waiting to hear what these little
Pretty noble looking, huh? Sincerely, Eugene the Noble or Detective Eugene

I have some exciting news....want to hear it? I am considering being a detective. In fact I have already decided to be a detective. My dectective name will be Detective Eugene. Hmmm, or do you think it should be my middle name, which is Tiger? Should my detective name be Detective Tiger or Detective Eugene? I'll stick with Detective Eugene. Everyone excited about hearing my detective stories? I don't have any to post now because I just took up the job. My goodness, I haven't even been a detective for five minutes. I am sooo excited! I'll tell you about my first case when it comes! I will even probably post pictures with my first case if I can. Sincerely, Eugene the Noble or Detective Eugene |

Hey kitties, remember me? I hope you do, even though I have not posted in a while. I had to take the template that Maryoftheprairie made me off of my blog because it was kind of hard to read the posts that I posted. I just made a new template today. Like it? Anyway, what have you kitties been doing? I have been hunting, sleeping, eating, exploring, and that is about it. I have been sleeping in my rocking chair that is on the front porch a lot. My favorite hunting grounds for this month are the woods accross the street. Yep, one day I was sitting very still on a log (in those same woods) and I saw a little chipmunk. I was waiting for it to get just a lil' closer and then I would pounce, but my owner was walking by just then and said, "Eugene! Eugene! What are you doing? Are you waiting there to catch a squirrel?" In my head I was thinking, "No, I am not waiting here to catch a squirrel... just a chipmunk." But who cares what it was it was no longer there. Ok, enough about my hunting stories. Oreo and I got a new food and water bowl. I think my owner's Dad bought it for us. It is a food bowl and around it goes the water that we drink. It is a two in one food and water bowl. It is ant proof, so none of those pecky little ants that taste extremely bad mixed in with your breakfast, lunch, and dinner get in. I hate those things. Bleh! Oreo can't stand 'em either. Speaking of food, I have not been fed my breakfast yet! It is my owner's turn to feed me. Last month it was Oreo's owner's turn but this month it is my owner's turn...yay! My owner almost always gives me a few extra pettings when she comes out. Oh, I think I hear her coming out now! A little late on the breakfast delivery, but oh well, at least I get breakfast! I better go now, here she comes! Meow! Sincerely, Eugene the Noble P.S. Do you like my new cursors? I like them! |

I have not posted on my blog in a while. I have been eating, sleeping, hunting, getting some petting, and all that stuff that I like to do. One of my favorite spots to get a drink of water is not out of our water bowl in the garage, it is a black draiage pipe. Ooooh, that water tasted really good. I don't know what it is that makes it taste so great! Oreo and I are waiting for my owner to feed me, right now. I hope she comes out soon. It has been raining last night and this morning. It has not rained in a while. We needed rain really bad because I have been getting really hot. I got a new template! MAI made it for me. I like it, it reminds me of a tiger. Clifford has chased me a few times. When I got in the house once, my owner had to hold Clifford back so he would not get me. He has chased me a few times when I was outside too, but not much. Each time I showed the lion hunting dog who was boss. I know why he chases me, he thinks I am a lion. Ya' know, Rhodesian Ridgebacks were breed in Africa and are lion hunting dogs, well, he must think I am a lion. RAWR!!! Sincererly, Eugene the Noble |

The other day I was in a tree. Not for fun though; it was because of Clifford. I have not written on here for awhile. I just wanted to let ya'll know I am still alive. (He, he, not funny.) The other day I was out in the backyard and my owner and Oreo's owner were doing sprints together. I walked up to them and Oreo's owner started petting me. Then, when my owner finished doing sprints we all sat up in the woods. After that my owner went and got two cat treats (the fishy kind) and gave them to me. Yep, that was good. Have I ever told you how good those were. THEY ARE GOOD!! Oreo's owner got them for her b-day to give to Oreo but they have been sharing them with me. The other day when my owner was leaving I came walking down the hill. I was coming back from my daily walk around the neighbor hood. They looked out the window and started saying, "Bye Eugene!". They usually tell me bye before they leave. I like that. Sincerely, Eugene the Noble |

My owner had been gone on a trip and they finally get home. I am so excited to see her. I run up to her and she pets me for a little bit. Then, the bad part happens. They open the trunk and two huge puppies come tumbling out. "Great," I thought "who do these belong to". It just so happens they belonged to my owner and her family!!! One of the puppies, who they address as Clifford, came up to me and started sniffing my foot. I bet he'll never do that again. The other puppy, who they call Pippi, came up just a little too close and she hasn't come to close since. Well, I just taught them that they just can't barge in here and take over my house. I sat on the porch that night while my owner was outside and watched the puppies play in the yard. You know what!? They hugged and pet the puppies when they finally learned how to climb up the stairs for the first time, humph, I could do that anyday! I tried to draw some attention to me by making a tremendous leap to the porch railing. That was pretty good. She even made a blog for them where she posts pictures and stuff. It is www.homesteadblogger.com/OurPuppies. No, I am not jelous at all. Sincerely, Eugene the Noble |

I haven't posted in a little while...and I have not been doing so good about responding to my comments, have I? Today I will look through my comments and go respond to all of them. Sorry all you cats. Uh, I haven't been doing so good about my friends list either. I have to add some people on there...it's pretty short don't ya' think? I think I will go do that right now. Sorry kittys. Sincerely, Eugene the Noble |

One day my owner gave me a bath! It was my first and last bath. They put me in the sink and filled it with water. They held my legs together and then started washing me. When I got out I was all wet and cold and...I did not want another bath! Here is a picture of me after my one and only bath! I don't really like people to see this picture because I am not looking exactly dry there, but ok.
I look skinny in that picture! Sincerely, Eugene the Noble |

I've been catching a lot of mice lately, and also some rats. Yesterday I saw a bird in the tree so I crouched low, it flew up to a low branch, I started running for it and I heard KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!!! It was over. My owner had seen me running for the bird out of her bedroom window I guess. I walked slowly back to the garage and later on, when I knew she was not looking, I went back over to the spot where the bird was and, as I suspected, it was gone. Well, here is a thing called Kitty Questions. It is like a tag that our owners do except this one is for Cats. I will try to put one up every two weeks. Answer the questions if you want and pass it on. 1. What is your favorite kind of food? 2. Where do you sleep usually? 3. Do you hunt? If so, where is your favorite place to hunt? 4. What are you most scared of? 5. Are you brave...or a scaredy-cat? My owner and Oreo's owner are taking turns feeding us. They change each month. This month it is Oreo's owner's turn. Hope she feeds us real soon, I am getting hungry! There has been a change in my diet. They are feeding me a different brand of cat food. I don't know what it is called but it is yummy. I think I like it even more then my Special Kitty brand. I will have to investigate and see what it is called. I will probably tell you in my next post on here so be watching!! Sincerely, Eugene the noble |

Hey everyone this is Eugene the Noble. I bet you thought I'd never come back, huh? Well, I'm back and I got a lot o' news. Guess what?! I have a new home. At first I didn't no what my owners were trying to do carrying me down the hill to another house. My new home is only 3 doors down from my other one. It was a little hard getting used to but once I found out that the house had mice...it wasn't hard at all. I kind of like my new home. One time, when we were setting up a skeeball game in our new basement, I was trying to do a few moves....I clobbered up a white sheet of something, don't ask what. Also, I have even more exciting news. I've had a birthday!!! It was December 14 but we celebrated it the other night because my owners kind of, well, misplaced it in their mind for a day or four but I didn't mind. I am now officially six years old. I don't feel that old though-at heart, I'm still a little orange tabby kitten. Yep. Oh yeah, for my b-day my owner and her family had apple crumb cake. My owner blew out the candles for me. I got a special treat. I got chicken and gravy wet cat food and some yummy delicious vanilla ice cream (mmm, next best thing besides mice and birds). Sincerely, Eugene the Noble

Last night at 11:00 I got in the house and ran upstairs. I started meowing so my owner could come get me and pet me. I like doing that. My owner had to get out of bed to come get me. Then she took me downstairs and I layed on the Living Room floor and she pet me a long time. Then Oreo came in and was walking around and my owner put me outside. Hmmppphhh. Pretty soon, Oreo got put outside also and I went to bed. I slept on the seat of the riding lawn mower.
Oreo has a contest on her blog. You have to make up a new kind of cat food. Here is my entry for the contest. I hope I win!
My new flavor would be called A Mix of Fish. It would be in a can decorated with fish. It would smell like fish. It would have salmon, tuna, guppys, and all kinds of other fish. Every cats dream.
Sincerely, Eugene the Noble |
