Tuesday, August 5, 2008 A new post.... finally!
I'm sorry. I'm very bad about posting lately. I went 4 days without getting on the computer at all, and I had, and found, so many other things to do that I didn't miss my blog. I used to be so... addicted to blogging, but now I'm finding so many other things to do, ways to help, and methods to use my time that blogging gets pushed away. I used to have so many friends here, but now many of them have left or no longer blog at all.
For the time being, my blog is at: fruitofthespirit93.blogspot.com Please come visit me!
Hugs,

Friday, July 18, 2008 Horrible ~ Trip ~ My day ~ Daddy ~ Sleepovers
Hey!
I'm horrible, I know. Horrible at posting. :-) (Just had to clarify that.)
My trip to New York was great. I hate the reason we went there, but it was nice to see all my family again. I don't really want to give a bunch of details... I like blogging about what's going on now, and not so much about what's already happened. I don't know why, I'm just that way. :-)
I felt kind of weird today, like I was lightheaded. So I watched Psych, (Bethany will be proud of me, I think. LOL). :-) Then Daddy left for work, which was sad. After that, I made brownies. They turned out looking pretty good. I also helped walk the dogs a few times, straightened the pillows at least twice, (I've got this thing about mushed up or crooked pillows. *grin*), and worked in the garden. I also replanted our Sundials, (They're really pretty pinky flowers that creep low to the ground), and my new winter hibiscus that Aunt Moni's mama Gabi gave me. (Thank you Gabi!) All in all, a very good day.
It's strange having Daddy work at night. He's not here for dinner, or goodnights, or any of that. We get to see him in the morningtime, but then he doesn't get home until midnight. I'm looking forward to his schedule going back to normal!
I'm going to my friend's house next Friday. I haven't seen much of her in months, even though we've been wanting to have a sleepover for a long time. :-) So it'll be nice to see her again, and spend more than a few minutes together. Then, on the Tuesday after that, I'm going to my other friend Anna's house. It's her birthday, and she said that she just wanted me to come over. I joked and said that I wouldn't get her a present, if that was all she wanted. *grin* But, obviously, I got her a present! We don't get to see each other very often, because we live about an hour apart, plus our schedules are really different. I wish we were closer.
Okay, now that I've finally updated again, I'll go. :-)
Hugs,
Rebecca |

Tuesday, July 1, 2008 Sad News :-(
My Uncle Wayne passed away this morning. The doctors removed the ventilator after Aunt Nina told them not to operate on the damaged areas of his brain. Doing so would've left him in a vegetative state, and Aunt Nina knew that Uncle Wayne didn't want that.
My Pappy and Uncle Todd are coming on Thursday to pick us up and take us back to New York. (None of our vehicles could make that trip.) Daddy is staying home, because he can't get time off from work. I really wish that he could go with us. I don't like it when we're all separated.
I probably won't be online much while we're gone, but I'll be sure to post once I'm back home. Thank you to all the people who prayed about this. Please continue praying for comfort, and for no problems as we travel, as well as for Daddy while he stays here at home. Thank you. :-)
Hugs,

Saturday, June 28, 2008 Sunshine-y ~ Books ~ Sick ~ Vacation ~ Dessert
Hello!
As you can see, I changed my blog. I wanted to make my blog look bright and sunshine-y, because most of the time, that what's I feel like. I wanted my blog to make other people happy too. But, alas, I couldn't find a really pretty background that fit my somewhat unclear mental picture of this blog, and I liked the green, pink, and brown theme. So I just went with that.
I'm reading Anne of Green Gables to Nanny and Mary; one chapter each night. Mary falls asleep about halfway through each chapter, but Nanny said she likes it, which makes me glad. :-) I'm reading Emma too, but I didn't think Nanny and Mary were quite ready for Jane Austen. :-) I've seen the Kate Beckinsdale version of Emma three times, I think, and I love it. I also have Northanger Abbey, as well as Wuthering Heights, (I borrowed the three of them from my friend.) So one of those comes next.
Speaking of Nanny and Mary, they were sick to their stomachs the night before last. :-( I was too, on Tuesday. That's never fun! Thankfully, I feel fine now, and so do they.
Daddy's vacation ends tomorrow. None of us are looking forward to that!! It's been wonderful having him here with us all day, every day, and I don't want to give him back.
Tonight I'm going to make "Lemon Custard Cakes." Or is it "Lemon Custard Cups"? I don't remember now! Oops. I've never made a custard-type dessert, so I really wanted to try. The fact that this dessert has 161 calories, versus 500-something for the molten chocolate cakes cinched my decision. :-) Not that the molten chocolate cakes aren't yummy! I have made those before, and they're delicious. But, anything that fatty must be delicious, right? *grin*
Ciao,
Rebecca |

Wednesday, June 25, 2008 Prayers, please
Hey everyone,
When we got home from town today there was a message on our machine from one of our cousins. She said that my Uncle Wayne had been on a ladder to take down a sign. The limb the ladder was leaning against broke, and he fell flat on his back, and got a lump on the back of his head. He's at the hospital. He's been unconcious since 1 PM, and he's on a ventilator due to breathing difficulties. They're prepping him for surgery now.
Please be praying!! Thank you!
I'm sorry I've been so awful about blogging lately. :-(
We finished school on Friday. Yay! :-D Daddy's been on vacation, which has been great. It's so nice having him home.
We went to a water park on Monday, which was SO cool!! (Only Mama and Thomas had ever been to a water park.) We were there for around five hours. There were water slides that you went down in tubes, and a wave pool, as well as a big pool with five or six divving boards. Thomas and I went down the biggest slide in a two-person tube. It was great, but also scary, because there were three 'jumps' in the slide that made your stomach fly up. It started raining right before we left, but since we were already quite wet, it didn't matter.
I promise that I'll write again soon!
Or wait. Maybe I should try reverse psychology and say that I won't write again soon! But I really doubt that it'll work. Oh well.

Tuesday, June 10, 2008 Friday ~ Surprise ~ Movies ~ Finishing school ~ Books
Hey!
On Friday we went to Misty's house, and we all had a very good time spending the night there. :-) We swam in the pool, which was awesome! I wish we had a pool. Mummy picked us up on Saturday afternoon, and Thomas' friend Charles came home with us. We stopped at the grocery store and got ice cream and Reese's cups to make milkshakes. I had some chopped up Reese's in mine; it was scrumptious! The people *cough* without taste *cough* had plain chocolate. :-D
Then on Sunday, we all went to town. Mummy and Daddy surprised us by dropping me, Thomas, and Daddy off at the theatre so we could see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull! (Mummy took the girls to a treat of their own, and then they went grocery shopping.) It was a really good movie! Some parts of it were a little weird.... but it was awesome anyway. It was set in the 50s, so the clothes and hairstyles were really cool. :-) I loved Mutt. LOL We saw a preview for Eagle Eye which looks so cool! Daddy, Thomas, and I want to see that too. :-) There was an ad for the movies that the theatre is showing next. They were Wall-E, and Get Smart. Both of which I want to see! But I think we'll be waiting until they come out on DVD.
One of my friends and her parents were there too. Mummy was late picking us up, so we stood outside talking to them, which was nice. So it was really okay that she was late. :-)
Since I'm talking about movies, I have to share my joy about another movie. LOL Netflix sent us Jumper today! So now I'm all happy about that. I read a few reviews, and some people hated it , (Especially the "professional critics"), and some people loved it. But I generally disagree with most of the critic's reviews, so I don't really care what they thought. :-)
We're aiming for finishing school the Friday after next. We don't get much of a break, because we're starting again on the first Monday of August. But next year, we'll be done at the end of April, so we'll have most of spring and some of summer for our break. It's pointless to have a summer break, really, because it's so hot outside. In springtime, every one of us wants to be outside, so it makes sense to have our break then.
I'm re-reading Anne of Green Gables. I'd forgotten how much I love L. M. Montgomery's books. Oh, and speaking of books, I found out that's there's a prequel to The City of Ember! It's called The Prophet of Yonwood. I got both from the library. Since I own The People of Sparks, I'm going to read all three in order. The City of Ember is such an awesome book. If you haven't read it, you should. And don't say that the cover looks weird. Please. LOL
Okay, I need to go do a workout and then a few more things.
Hugs,

Friday, June 6, 2008 Alarm clock torture ~ Spend-the-night ~ School
This morning I woke up to Natalie's alarm clock.... I can't stand alarm clocks. The noise is just horrid. So I laid there, thinking, "Oh, Nan's in there, she'll turn it off." Since I really didn't want to get up, I decided to wait...... and wait..... and wait..... By this time, I'm thinking, "Oh my goodness, how can a person sleep with that noise?" Fifteen minutes later, I was feeling tortured, so I got up to turn it off. And then I found out that Natalie was downstairs, so she hadn't even heard the alarm! When I asked her to please be kind and turn her alarm clock off when she's not in her room, she just gave me that brown-eyed Nanny grin. Had I been annoyed or mad, I would have just been happy after she grinned. LOL
When Daddy gets home we're all leaving to go to Misty's house. Me, Thomas, Nan, and Mary are spending the night there while Mama and Daddy go on a date. We're going in Daddy's truck, because the Burb is un-usable at the moment. Daddy and Thomas are giving it a brake job, and there isn't time to finish that this afternoon.
School is almost finished. Yay! I was a bit worried that I'd do badly on my science test yesterday, because it was on the electromagnetic force. The different forces can be a wee bit confusing to me at first, but I found out that I had learned way more than I thought, so the test wasn't that bad. Algebra is going pretty well. And the other subjects are going by quickly.
Okay, I need to go. :-)
Ciao!
Hugs,

Monday, June 2, 2008 Friends ~ New picture ~ School ~ Tag : Edited
EDIT: Oh my!! I'm so happy! I made a 3 column template! Well..... I turned a 2 column into a 3 column! Never believe it, (In most cases), if someone tells you that it's hard. As long as you know a little HTML and can use common sense, you can turn your template into a 3 column. Yay! Now I can have my own cool templates, without waiting for other people to make them, or people who just ignore me when I ask.
I thought that perhaps I should post again... :-)
It was so fun having Mama's friends visit! They were all rewally nice. I got to hold Mrs. Catherine's baby, Micah, a bunch. He's SO cute!! And I held her daughter Morgan a lot too; she's an adorable little girl!
I'm going to put up a new profile picture, one of my new haircut. Mind you, my hair is already a good bit longer. And there's an inch long chunk of very much brunette hair on top of all my highlights. :-) I love the fact that my hair grows really fast, but it makes keeping a hairstyle hard. If I was trying to maintain really short hair... I'd probably have to go every other week and get it cut again.
I'm almost done with school! YAY! I'd say I have two more weeks at the most. I'm very happy about that. Next year is 10th grade.... Geometry... bleh. But I think I'll be doing Biology, which is cool. I love science... just not mechanical science. That confuses me.
Here's a tag I got brom Bethany's (drgnfly1010), blog:
Directions:
1. Put your iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS.
1. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF? I'm Alive by Celine Dion
2.WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU? Here Without You by 3 Doors Down (Does it mean they miss me? *grin*)
3.WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN? Would You Go With Me by Josh Turner
4.WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU? The Show by Hawk Nelson (Yeah, a strange show... lol)
5.WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? Breathing by Lifehouse (Well, yeah. Obviously!)
6.WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE? Everyday by Jessie Daniels
7.WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND? One World by tobyMac
8.WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PERSON YOU LIKE? Sitting, Waiting, Wishing by Jack Johnson
9.WHAT SONG WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR WEDDING? Revolution by Jars of Clay (Yeah! No slow song there! LOL)
10.WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL? Streetcorner Symphony by Rob Thomas
11.WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR? Suds in the Bucket by Sara Evans (Either I'm scared that my future daughter will leave with a guy in a pickup truck... or that I will... or.... I'm scared of bubbles..)
12.WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET? First Time by Lifehouse
13.WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS? Every Time I Fall by Jaci Velasquez
14: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF TAGGING 5 PEOPLE? Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down
Well, that was fun! :-) Some of the answers were surprisingly.... fitting. Weird.
Okay, I'm bored with this template. I need Erin's help with the no-right click thing... I can't find the code, wherever it is in the template. I want it gone. :-)
Hugs,

Saturday, May 24, 2008 Sprucing up ~ Banquet ~ VeggieTales ~ Disgusting
I'm now in the process of sprucing up my blog. :-) I had some things on my Blogger blog - a prayer request on my sidebar, a neat thing from NeoWorx, and some icons - that I'm gonna move over to here.
Last night was our Keepers/Contenders banuet. It was a lot of fun! I still wish there was someone, (Or more than one person), my own age there, but I had a good time. :-) Everyone seemed to like my new haircut, which was neat.
We're having pizza-and-a-movie night tonight, since we were gone last night. Mama forgot to check Netflix, and we got two VeggieTales movies. Oops. LOL So we may be watching one of those, or we may watch something we own.
Okay, I think this is evil: German parents post baby on eBay for 1 euro It was a joke?!?! To put a living, breathing, defenseless little human being on eBay? For a $1.57?! What kind of people are they? I feel sorry for the baby, to have parents who would do something that... disgusting.
I'm off to finish my blog.
Thank you to everyone who comented telling me that they were glad I'm back! :-D Love you all! ((hugs))
xoxo,

Thursday, May 22, 2008 I have been defeated by a website. How weird is that?
I can admit defeat. So I shall. Blogger defeated me!
LOL Blogger was just so annoying. It's totally easy and it requires no HTML knowledge, which drives me bonkers. (No offense to people who use Blogger and like it. Lots of people don't know HTML, and that's fine. But for someone who does know a bit of HTML, it's annoying.) I like doing my templates myself. But with Blogger, you can't make templates very well. It's so..... annoying.
Plus, I missed you guys. I really did. HSB is familiar and comfortable to me... for both the template-making and the people. :-D
I'm off to make the rounds and say hi to lots of people.
Love,
Rebecca

Sunday, April 6, 2008 Ciao....... a fancy way to say "See ya later" :-)
I thought I might make this post all eloquent and everything..... "All things must come to an end" and all that jazz. But, I've never written like that, so why start now?
I've been bored with blogging here for probably 2 months now. Maybe more. Don't ask why; I don't know. I guess I want blogging, for me, to be fun, and HSB isn't always.... fun, for some reason. When I posted about taking a break, I had almost decided to leave. It's not the people... I still love you all! :-) I guess when everyone started leaving HSB - Erin, Chris, etc. - it was a little weird for a while. And at the same time, I was busy, and quit talking to people online as much. Blogging and all.... it's never really come back for me.
The people I talk to the most often are on other sites I'm on... so I started going there, and I wasn't on HSB too much. As you know by my lack of posts. :-) Sorry about that.
So, I guess you've probably guessed the gist of this. :-) I'm leaving HSB. Not because anyone pressured me, or was rude, or anything like that. You all know me too well to think that I would let myself be pushed around by someone in that way. It's all me making this decision.... no one decided for me.
I've seen so much on HSB. I've seen huge arguments over trivial things that involved tons of people.... they seemed petty to me then, and they seem petty now. Pointless, really. But I've also made really good friends, and I've learned about me and how I deal with people. I know that sounds corny, but it's true.
Since I've been lazy about blogging, I've found all the things I could be doing if blogging wasn't something I felt like I had to be really consistent about. I'm reading more..... goodness, I've missed just devouring a book in an hour or two! And if I spend a lot of time on the computer... I can't do the other things I enjoy. Summer's coming up. That's usually a busy time for us.
Basically, blogging..... blogging on HSB...... just doesn't fit anymore. I'll talk on Facebook, the messageboard, and through e-mail. Because I have family that reads my blog, I think that I'll just blog at BlogSpot. I already have a blog there..... keeping up with two blogs at different sites didn't work for me! LOL Here's the link, if you want it: http://blueeyedbecca.blogspot.com/
If you want to keep in touch, then e-mail me. It's blueeyedbecca@gmail.com
I really will miss all of you, and I've loved blogging here. It's just time to quit waiting for myself to get interested in it again. I don't like waiting; most of the time, I'd rather just jump in and get whatever needs to be done done. So that's what I'm doing.
I hope to keep in touch with you all!
Hugs,
xoxo,
Rebecca |

Sunday, March 30, 2008 Not feeling like posting ~ Party ~ Pina Coladas ~ Movies ~ Hard-to-read
Hola peoples,
I feel like I should post, but I really don't feel like it. Did that make sense? lol
My party went great!! I had an awesome time! I hope everyone else did too. :-)
My friend Anna spent the night afterwards, and she left this afternoon. We stayed home, and Mama and Daddy went on a date. She left around 1 o'clock. We did each other's hair, and played Life 3 times. It was great.
After she left, Thomas made pina coladas, (Minus the rum.), for me, Nan, and himself. They are sooooo delicious!
I think we're watching Nancy Drew tonight. We got it from Netflix, and it needs to get sent back.
On a random note, I want to see the Bourne trilogy. LOL I saw the first few minutes of the first two. Anna has seen all three, and she said they're awesome movies.
I've gotten several comments saying that my font is hard to read. I don't know if it's just my computer or what, but it's fine to read for me. I'm trying to figure out how to make it easier to read without changing it all. Any ideas?
Ok, I'm going.
Ta-ta,

Saturday, March 22, 2008 Grammy & Pappy ~ Shopping ~ Birthday ~ Easter
(I love Peeps. Peeps is also one of my many nicknames. :-) )
Hey!
See? I promised, didn't I? And now I'm posting. So there. LOL
Onto the post....
Grammy and Pappy got here on Wednesday. It was great seeing them again!
On Thursday we went shopping. Grammy needed a few things, and we wanted to get decorations for my party. Mama bought me some great, very comfy tan capris, that I'm wearing now. She also bought me the cutest purpley pink dress! It's for my party; I wanted something islandy. It has a really beachy, summery look to it. I'm sure I'll be posting pictures, so you'll see it.
We found great islandy decorations too. Now I just have to figure out what foods we're gonna have. All I've decided on is fruit - pineapple, kiwi, bananas, strawberries, and melon if I can get some. But I guess we need to have more than fruit and orange and coconut cake, right? LOL
In case you can't tell, I'm totally excited about my party! I'm only gonna have three guests, which is sad, because I like big parties. But I'm sure it'll be great with a smaller group.
We, (Grammy, Mum, Nan, Mary, and I), are going shopping in Nashville, as usual. I've never had Grammy or the girls along, so it should be neat. I want to buy some nice flip-flops, and a pair of sneakers. Not ones that lace up, but the ones that look like they have laces, when really they're just elastic ribbons. Hopefully I can get some with a cute design. There's more I'd like to buy, but I want those most.
Today at church there was an Easter egg hunt, as well as puppets and they told the Easter story with Resurrection Eggs. I missed most of it, because Miss Belinda asked most of the teenagers who'd come if they wanted to hide eggs for the littler kids. So Thomas helped hide for the middle-aged group, (6-9), two other girls hid the eggs for the older group, (10-12), and me and another boy hid for the little kids, (0-5). That was cool. Then we ate, then it was time to find the eggs. Miss Belinda made me the leader for helping the little kids, since I knew where the eggs were. We all had a nice time. :-)
Do you like my new template? I still love the one Bethany did for me, but I like having the HSB header bar, and the three columns. So I re-did it.
Okay, I'm off to finish up on the computer.
xoxo,
Rebecca |

Friday, March 14, 2008 Yes, yes, I know I haven't posted...
Hey!
I'm sorry about not posting. :-(
I went from last Saturday to Tuesday morning without touching the computer... didn't really miss it that much. I was online Wednesday.... and not at all yesterday.... again, I didn't really miss it. Weird, huh? I think it's because of a few things:
- It's finally springtime. I'd rather be outside.
- We have so much going on lately
- Daddy's new schedule is throwing all of us off balance
I considered just taking a break.... I may end up doing that. I've been blogging since 2005, and the only breaks I've ever taken were because I had no timefor blogging... I've never taken an actual break. I'll wait and see. :-)
Yesterday we went to visit some new friends. They have the coolest house! They also have twin baby boys, Grant and George. They're very tiny and very adorable. :-) They have 9 kids altogether, so Thomas, Nan, and Mary had a blast! Afterwards, we met Daddy in town and he and Thomas went to get haircuts, (Thomas' hair was waaay shaggy. Now he has a flat top, and he looks much better. LOL), and we went to get a few groceries. I got yogurt; it makes a very good breakfast. :-) The flavors sounded good: Lemon Burst, Boston Creme Pie, White Chocolate & Strawberries, and Pina Colada.
Tonight is pizza and a movie night. I'm having a meatzza. A meatzza is like a pizza, minus the crust. Instead of bread, you use, basically, a big, square hamburger. Then you put tomato sauce and mozzarella on it. It's delicious. We're watching Dan In Real Life for our movie.
The theater in town is playing Jumper this weekend. I want to go see it so bad! I watched the first ten minutes on a movie site..... it looks good. :-)
As you may have read on my Mama's blog, my Granny had bypass surgery last week. She had a TIA, (And no, I don't know what it stands for), but she's better now. She went home this morning! :-)
Grammy and Pappy get here on Wednesday!! Whoo! They're gonna be here for Easter, my birthday, my birthday party, and my shopping trip. LOL I think me, Mama, Grammy, and the girls are all going shopping. I'm so excited that they'll be here! I haven't had family here for my birthday in awhile.... and Grammy and Pappy haven't ever been here for my birthday, I don't think.
Please pray for hatepink's grandmother, and his family.
Hugs,
Becca |

Saturday, March 1, 2008 A hurt back ~ Canceled ~ Birthday plans
Hola
Sorry I haven't written. :-)
Daddy hurt his back at work on Monday. He ended up taking Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday off. Mama took him to the chiropractor on Tuesday. He worked yesterday, but this week is his 3 day weekend, so he'll be home till Monday! I like having my Daddy home. :-)
We were going to have an International Dinner with the homeschool group tonight, but Mama canceled it. Lots of people were sick, or had "other commitments." It's sort of a bummer, because we had picked Italy for our country, and I was looking forward to doing that!
My birthday party plans are pretty much all set now. My party is gonna be on the 29th, which is a Saturday. My friend Laura is coming over the Friday night before, and then she'll be here for the party. Then my friend Anna is coming for the party, and is spending Saturday night. I'm also inviting my friend Cami.
I designed my invitations on the computer yesterday. They turned out really cute!! Very islandy. But we can't print them until we buy more printer ink.
Mama said that I can go on my actual birthday to get my permit! WHOO! So, if I can get the stuff in the book memorized, I'll be going on my birthday. I'm very excited. LOL Thomas said that we're all gonna die with me driving... I beg to differ. :-)
I need to go now.... I've got other stuff to do online, and I want to get off soon. :-)
Hugs,
Rebecca |

Sunday, February 24, 2008 New blog skin
Hey!
So... what do you think?! I can't take any credit for the way my blog looks, other than finding the template. Someone on blogskins.com made the skin, and Bethany, who is very, very awesome and wonderful, did the code work for me, because it was confusing me. :-)
I don't have any more time to write; it's time for bed. But I'll post tomorrow, and I'll give the award. I promise. Cross my heart.
xoxo,
Rebecca |

Thursday, February 21, 2008 Town ~ My new haircut ~ Piano lessons
Hey!
Yesterday Daddy didn't go in to work til 1 o'clock in the afternoon... and he didn't get off til 10. :-( After he left, we went to town in his truck, to get the title, license plate, etc. Then we did a little grocery shopping, (I got the March issue of InStyle!), and we stopped by Home Depot to see Daddy. He didn't know we'd come in the truck, so it was a surprise. ☺ Then we went to Auto Zone, then the salon. Mama and I both got our hair cut.
I'm SO happy with the way my hair looks. It's way shorter than it was. It was getting really long - I couldn't do much but pull in into a ponytail, a bun, or a braid. Plus it looked weird, because my hair color changed, and so it was all reddish, lighter brown on the bottom, but darker, not reddish, brown at the top. Now, it's just a few inches past my shoulders, and the layers are a lot shorter, and so are my bangs. It's really bouncy. ☺ Like I said, I'm really happy with it.
Piano lessons yesterday went well. I have "Waves of the Danube" for my song. Miss JoAnne, my teacher, let me borrow this big book of songs - it's got Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, all those famous composers. It also has a few songs from musicals, songs from other countries, and lots of other. It's a really thick book! Right now, I'm working on Fur Elise.
Daddy works until 4 o'clock today, so it'll be a bit more normal for us. ☺
I have to go; Algebra is calling my name. Ugh.
xoxo,
♫ Rebecca ♫
P.S. I PROMISE I'll award the Excellence award soon. I just don't have time at the moment. Sorry. :-) |

Monday, February 18, 2008 A Truck ~ Spend-the-nights ~ Learner's permit ~ New blog look
Hey!
We're getting a truck! ☺ We've been praying for a dependable truck for Daddy for a long time now. His car has been great for the past three years or so, but you can't really haul anything in it, and we need that. So today, we went to look at one. It's dark red... more of a maroon, I guess. It has a CD player with the radio, unlike our Suburban, (Yeah, I'm jealous of that), and a nice, loud speaker system. More importantly, at least to Daddy ☺, is the brand new transmission. It fits all 6 of us, which is nice! And although it's too old to have the smaller doors for the back seat, (You know what I'm talking about, right?), it's pretty nice back there.
We're going tomorrow after Daddy gets home to get it.
On Friday, Misty came over and dropped off Natalie's friend, Carly, and took Thomas home with her, for Thomas' friend Charles' birthday. We were planning on going over to their house on Saturday to pick up Thomas, and drop off Carly. Instead, Mama asked Misty if we could stay there while she and Daddy went out, and we ended up spending the night there. I had fun - I got to hold Levi, (Who's almost 1), a lot, and Gordon, (Who's 2), and I are speaking again. LOL (Yeah, you'd have to know the whole story ☺)
So I wasn't on the computer much on Saturday, and not at all on Sunday.
Because of Daddy's new, weird schedule, he's off today. But this weekend coming up, he only gets Sunday off, and he works till ten at night tomorrow, I think. Ugh. We're already tired of it.
I just realized on Valentine's Day that there was only a little over a month till I get my learner's permit! So I dug around and found my study guide book thingie that I got at the driver's license place months ago. I'm in the middle of chapter 4 - Rules of the Road - and it is the most boring but important thing I've ever read. LOL I really don't want to have to take the test more than once. The Monday after my birthday, we have dentist appts, and the driver's license office is right across the street from the dentist's. So we're going there after I get my teeth all scrubbed and x-rayed. I'm excited, but sort of freaked out. Daddy asked me if I wanted to wait.... but I'm not that freaked out! ☺ I'm so glad that I have parents who let me get my permit at 15, do things on my own..... have a life. (Edit: Let me clarify: Getting my permit will not give me a life. I meant that I already have one, and getting my permit is just another step in that. My parents don't tie me down and keep from knowing anything or doing anything. ☺)
Like my new blog look? I really like the three columns, but I wanted to go to something a little more basic for a while. And plus, the background didn't show up with the old template.
Okay, I'm off to do some other things. Ciao!
xoxo,
