Summer Fun

Our HS has been done now since the ending of May.Which was wonderful to be finished with and have an actual break. We usually do year round HS, but this year we decided that we could use at least a month of nothing but free time. Even though we HS know that teaching opportunities present themselves in all aspects of daily life.We Basically decided to leave it up to the kids to figure out what they want to do daily ,be it riding bikes or playing with bubbles or in there small pool in the yard or just being a couch potatoe for the  day. And thanks to our training they have made wonderful active decisions for themselves each day. They have made up dodgeball games ,played in the sprinklers daily , become bubble blowing experts and also saved movie to go to see a movie occaionally. We are preparing to go to chuckie cheese this weekend coming. So I am very pleased because there keeping themselves occupied and it has allowed me to work from home with peace . Of course we have our occassional spurts of insanity which is easily calmed by a reminder of being able to work on review sheets which are not what they consider fun school time, and of course that swiftly changes the mood of the house to peace again. So KUDOS to all you HS children who are enjoying the summer weather and being creative with it. We are looking forward to preparing for the new HS year to begin by July 27,And making an attempt to have a wonderful and organized HS year, due to all this wonderful free time that allows me to work and organize as well.It has been wonderful.Blessings to everyone for a wonderful summer.

I have been asked about this book and it is another book we have on our bookshelf and use on a weekly basis. We absolutely love this book as well.It is a great resource for anyone who is just starting off with homeschooling.I love this book, because every time I check it,we find out we are beyond what they need to know when, lololol. So it is very encouraging. This book is a great refernce book.Do not use as your guide but simply as a reference. Not every state has the exact same requirements but it is great to have an idea of what they state does look for, lolol!!!So I wanted to share it and what it looks like. This is a keeper.!Enjoy!!!!

I just wanted to share one of my favorite books. We use this book on a regualr basis.I thought if anyone who is interest in learning or teaching the jewish roots of christianity. As well as for those of us messianics who incorporate the feast and traditions. This is a great book. I love it.So enjoy and Shalom to you all.

Archery!

These are some pics from Archery. It was wonderful! And a very useful skill to learn  if I say so myself. Now my children could hunt if they ever needed too!

ARCHERY!!!!!

Well our newest homeschool adventure is Archery! That’s right we are taking it back to the bow and arrow days.It is so much fun.My 3 oldest have just taken to it wonderfully. That’s right you heard me right my 3 oldest and for those of you who don’t know what that means. It means even my very very girly daughter who was a former brownie and became a scarlet brownie because she could not tolerate the very sporty girls in her group and choose not to partake with them anymore.Has finally found a sport she really likes and has voluntarily ask to join the homeschool archery club.It is wonderful and she has a wonderful ,patient instructor. His name is Guy and he does great with the kids.He showed her how to stand ,shot, and hold the boe properly. She did great and was able to do what her older brothers were not able to do in the last 2 sessions of Archery but can now do.She POPPED the ballon.Guy puts these medium size ballons up and has the kids try to pop them. They can take as long as 30 min somtimes to pop them. Some of the kids even give up sometimes and go ahead and pop it with the arrow by hand. But she did it on her very first try.You should of seen her.She was so proud of herself ,and I for her as well. She has really taken to it and has ask to continue to do so throughout the Fall. Her dad is excited,he cannot wait to see her do it on the next session. She has just been raving about it ever since as have I.It is great! I am so happy for my girly girl. She has finally found a sport she likes. My boys love it as well. They are just having a blast making friends and meeting people. They are very sporty boys and love to be active. They have always been involved in a sport.Even if dad was the team,LOLOL! So they are very happy with the Archery Club.It was a lil hard to find a group down here, but now that we have it is great. The move to NY still is not final but coming to a close soon.So keep us in prayer as we continue to move forward. We still have a lot of going back and forth but it will soon be done, Baruch Hashem! So Blessings to you all and Shalom!
