Unlimited Power

"...as thy days so shall thy strength be."

Deuteronomy 33:25

I'm writing this with great confidence because I know that 99% of moms, if not 100%, will agree with what I'm going to say. It is not uncommon for us to have to do an enormous amount of work on the day when we do not have an ounce of energy in us. Do you agree? Just when I decide in the morning that I'm going to take it easy today, I end up doing more and more and more tasks. So in spite of having no energy, we end up showing so much energy that people sometimes do not take us seriously when we sigh and say, "Oh my. I think I'm sick today" or, "I wish I could get my breakfast, even lunch and dinner in bed!" Then just before going to bed I just ask myself, "Did I say that I was going to take it easy?" Where does this power come from? The answer is from the Lord, who is my strength. So derive your power from the Powerful Source and you will always be full and running. As promised in Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

Finding rest in Jesus

(Yesterday's Manna that I got)

Often when I have felt completely drained out of my physical, emotional, or spiritual strength, I have just thrown myself in bed, eyes closed, I've begged the Lord, "Jesus, you know how exhausted I am. I need rest, but my mind would not let me have it. What do I do?" And the answer comes right away :

"Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy-laden and I will give you rest."

--Matthew 11:28

And then I hear His voice saying, "Be quiet, and listen to My voice. Be not anxious. When you are not able to walk one step more, I will lift you up and carry you in my arms so that you can take a nap, I'll walk for you." That is the most precious and strengthening rest that I get. Even ten minutes are like a full hour of good sleep. I get up refreshed and cheerful. I start to sing and work.

(Today's)

"Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye recieve them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. "

--Mark 11:24-26

Forgiveness is the key to enjoying and strengthening relationships here on earth, and being forgiven by the Lord. Very often I've had to confess my own sins in prayer and the Lord has prompted me to go and ask forgiveness from the person I offended and then come back and give Him the glory for the restoration of the peace and joy in my heart. I have gone to my husband or to my son and done that and it brought so much joy to see their willingness to forgive instantly and put their arm around me and assure me of their love. Sometimes even they have said that they were sorry - that's when the relationship is restored. Forgiving our debtors is what brings joy and delight to the heart of our Savior who cried out from the cross for those people standing there and accusing Him and for us who were not yet born in the physical flesh, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do."

After Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "Father into Thy hands I commend my spirit" and gave up the ghost, a centurion standing there said, "Certainly this was a righteous man" and he glorified God.

(Read Luke 23:46,47)

I was touched by this passage. If you have any insight on this passage also, do feel free to comment.

Guidance

"I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. " --Psalm 32:8

"I will guide thee with mine eye." As servants take their cue from the master's eye, and a nod or a wink is all that they require, so should we obey the slightest hints of our Master, not needing thunder bolts to startle our incorrigible sluggishness, but being controlled by whispers and loving touches. The Lord is the Great Overseer, who's eye in providence overlooks everything. It is well for us to be the sheep of his pasture, following the guidance of His wisdom.

Peace

I was reading the daily portion today, and this verse stood out for me:

"...Have salt in yourselves and have peace one with another."

Mark 9:50

Isn't peace more precious in today's world then any other gem? The Lord has promised His peace to us and so when we are at peace with others we are giving them a taste of the salt in our life.

Hello world

"Thou hast put gladness in my heart..."

Psalm 4:7

This is going to be my first effort in managing this blog. In fact, my son gave me a big surprise and he set this up for me for which I am so thankful to him. The Lord has blessed me with a godly husband and a God-fearing son. I will focus my writings to praising Jesus for his love, compassion, His great sacrifice, and His free gift of eternal life to me. He is still leading me day by day showing me His mercy and giving me His big hand to hold and to behold His beauty in my walk with Him. I would like to invite any prayer requests and will pray as I have seen the results of people's prayers for me and my family. The Lord does hear and answer our prayers according to His promises given in His Word so my faith stands on the solid rock of Jesus and I will lift up my hands in His praise and sing How Great Thou Art, till He comes. We are looking forward to His appearing to recieve His bride to Him.

This song has captured my heart everytime we sang it in the Church:

"Day by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find, to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
He Whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best—
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.

Every day, the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear, and cheer me,
He Whose Name is Counselor and Power;
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
“As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,”
This the pledge to me He made.

Help me then in every tribulation
So to trust Thy promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation
Offered me within Thy holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
Ever to take, as from a father’s hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the promised land."
