Brother's and Sister's....

When I was in college we would talk about the differences between boys and girls. How they girls and boys will naturally seperate themselves and pick toys that are appropriate for each gender. And when you are in your early 20's you really don't think that much about it.
Well! our 6 1/2 year old daughter goes up to my dh last night and said that she would like certain Bionicle's for her birthday. Puzzled by this my dh ask why?, because our dd loves typical girl toys.
Her reply, "My brother has attacked my doll house and the bionicle's have taken over! The only way to get my doll house back is to attack him and he will be defeated!"
We will see if she really get's the bionciles, to defend her doll house. Or, maybe we can find another way so she can have the doll's or clothes that she wants for her birthday.

That's funny!
A few years ago, I was working with a 4 year old girl who loved bionicles and wanted me to remember all their complicated names, but she would cuddle them like baby dolls.

I played with dolls, tea sets, etc. when I was a little girl, but always wanted the gifts my brothers received. Given the opportunity I would sneak their toys in order to play with them. I still feel like I missed out on something special (after 50 yrs.) because I was denied a bow and arrow, bb gun, red wagon, and the list goes on and on. Get her whatever she wants, she will still be a little girl.
