I love this picture.  Challice made a prairie outfit complete with bonnet.  Andra looked like Hollie Hobbie in one of the pics but it is this one that captured my attention...

Ok, ok, since I mentioned Hollie Hobbie...

All she needs is a stack of books and a leather belt.  Oh, apple for the teacher of course!

Look at this sweet little girl.  Isn't she the picture of innocence and charm?

One would never guess that this grin is due to finishing her math book and that she will RACE to the trash can and deposit said book into the abyss of refuse created by our family .  It's a tradition.  What can I say?  Every family has one, this is one of ours.

Kids LOVE finishing school work around here.  Snort.

Overheard moments ago at the Havig Haven.

Mom to Andra:  "If you had asked me if you could chase your brother with Lorna's unders, would I have said yes?"

Andra:  "No."

I kept a straight face.  I'm serious.  I didn't crack even the tiniest hint of a smile.  It was an Oscar nomination worthy performance.  (until I got out of the room anyway)

To make Andra's play time realistic.  I came home from shopping yesterday to find Lorna's dollhouse on one end of the table, my artifical wheat grass from the kitchen window bordering it on each side like hedges, her sweet streets houses all along the edges of the table and Lorna's barn on the other side.

It was quite the village!  I've been enjoying the progress of Simple Times Village in Indiana.  Something about Andra's little village reminded me of this place.  And oh the silly things she says....  Taken from a recent episode.

Andra:      "Mr, did you steal all my gold? All my gold and silver is missing."

Jenna:      "No."

Andra:      "Oh, I'm sorry for being so upset and askng you."

Sigh.  It does take a village.  Well, to keep us laughing that is!
