Look what crawled into my son's ear!

Okay I bet that title had you going, ROFLOL!  Well sorry I could not help it!

Okay to the point.

My 3 year old has been begging me to help him build a giant ear just like his big brother did from our KONO’S book back when we first started school in September.

So we did, and then we crawled into it and there was a whole lot of this going on:

Is it me, or can I really capture the moment of his eye’s in mid-close like no body’s business?

Don’t agree, then look at this:

Okay so other than my child being…in his own ear, there was also this:

That would be a can you bang on-it’s an ear drum people!  Get it ear drum (the spatula is around somewhere)

We also had this:

A bible, because everyone knows you have a bible in your ear…

Oh and this also crawled into his ear…

I pray he always hears me…especially if it’s about God and his son Jesus.

Faith

Tween School

I am starting a weekly blog to cover the musings of our homeschool adventures with a tween.  I also cover tot school on here as well so join us on our crazy adventure in tot and tween school!

We are mostly an eclectic family and so I will break each subject and our day down for you quickly on where what we finished last week:

6-10am chores and family time also bible time
1 hour reading the mission adventure-finished book
1 hour doing spelling on this website
lunch
1 hour doing History Lesson 9 The Epic of Gilgamesh and memory cards or in Science lesson 3 in general science
30 minutes doing Math Lesson 15 equal group stories
30 minutes of KONOS -currently on hold until next week but I think we are on week 3 of the book

He also watched the rape of Europe -crazy story of how Hitler the man who killed millions had an addiction to art…art people!  He also learned that decay was not just something that happened in your mouth.

This week I don’t have too much else to report because I only thought of adding tween school a week ago instead of giving the updates on my normal blog.  However I would like to show you my son’s deer.  This is his 3rd season hunting and his third deer!

Way to go!

Tot School

Here is our journey in Tot School, to see others and their journey please go to 1+1+1=1

We had some normal adventures in tot school this week except one.  My son watches a show on PBS called Sid the Science Kid and that boy learns so much from that show.  This week my husband called me and said "do you know what my boy just said to me" oh course I am like "no what?" He says " I was talking to the tween about chicken and how sometimes KFC has bad chicken, and the tot says yeah sometimes food is bad and it decays, like Sid’s banana on Sid the Science kid."  My husband thought that was cool, and that always makes a homeschool mamma proud!

I also had him write out his name, which he is pretty good at now so I think I am going to add words to his homeschool other than just his name.

We also had a Thanksgiving dinner with 4-H clovers and he got to enjoy a story about the first Thanksgiving.  It was a neat story!  Then we got to eat yummy food!
This picture is of the kids posing for food they were giving to a family in need.

Ty took this picture:

This picture shows how many people died on the Mayflower:

My boys also took some time to play a game with a tad table:

Oh and he also learned how exhausting and crazy Black Friday was:

But you can read more about that on my other blog

Thanks for joining me on my adventures in tot school!

Tot school week 3 and 4

the link to tot school is on my side bar and to see what others learned in tot school this week go here

Wow these last two weeks of school were a blast.  We did more playing than bookin but we definitely did some learnin.  I want to say something.  I really like doing tot school so much because I really get to #1 take the time to engage with my child-not that I don’t but more on an adventure level than a mom and child level and #2 because reflecting has been so sweet.  I realize so much about my child when thinking of what we did.

We read Bob books (From B J U)Then later we took out his chalk board and he wrote his WHOLE name!  That was cool for both of us.

Last week we also went bowling…what a blast to do with a tot!We also went to 4-H with his older brother and he helped set up and tear down the tent plus helped out with getting all the camping stuff unloaded or set up!  Surprisingly he does not like s’mores?  However he does enjoy chocolate!

Then once we got home he made this with blocks…he is so creative…unlike most of around this house when we build stuff it’s tall, but he builds castles!

He even took the picture of it.  He’s is my artist for sure.

Well I just love tot school.  Of course I am doing this in the most fun way possible.  Ty loves it to, it’s great one on one time with me and he loves reading books!

We did not do much school this week but we have cool plans for next week!  Okay here is what we did do.  One night we sat down with our amazing marbles set and built

This was fun.

Next we painted this:it’s a rocket!  Isn’t it cool!  I think so, and it’s his favorite color!

He also went with us to play golf and while we played he took these pictures:

Then he also took food coloring and made this:

So we did not do a whole lot of big time learning but boy we sure did have fun!
