Jun. 2, 2006 - Baby/Pregnancy Stuff
Things have been kind of a blur since my last post, so I hadn't even realized until today that it's been over a week since I updated.
Now, if you will allow me, I will rectify the situation...- Baby V. is now the size of a Raspberry!! Awww.....how cute! *sigh*

- Mustard jar lids oozing from the top (Ohhh, barf city...)
- The bottom part of a banana as you're taking it out of the peel (*gag*)
- The smell or even IDEA of beef cooking (*cringe*)
- Uh, should we say...MOST food preparation (I do manage decent meals every now and then, but after cooking it all I sometimes can't even eat it.
) - Musicals (Don't laugh! These totally make me nauseous.)
- The sight of blood (Yep, I would have never guessed this one.)
- Mornings (Obviously)
- Evenings (These are actually worse than the mornings, unfortunately...
) - 'Pert near anything if I think about it too long!

- The prayers and encouragement of dear friends and family.
- This precious little one growing and changing inside of me day-by-day! We can't wait to meet you, sweetie!

- That my baby-sickness doesn't last 24/7!!!!
- Peanut butter crackers, yogurt, apples and mint tea which artfully calm and ease an upset stomach...ahhh.
- A dear big brother and sister who've been down this path already and who are expecting their own little baby any day now!

- A "big-little" brother of mine I'm so proud of for moving over 2 hrs away from his home this weekend to start an awesome new job on Monday!

- A beautiful sister who thoughtfully rescued me one day last week from being tired, sick and discouraged by bringing me a bag full of chick flicks and other marvelous goodies, as well as half an hour of good visiting.

- Another silly, yet wonderful little brother who made me laugh at myself Monday about the amount of food on my little plate. (Hey, when I'm not sick, I'm HUNGRY!
) - A gorgeous sis whose smiles and sweet, huge hugs hold me so tight and always make me feel loved and accepted.

- Yet another lovely little sister whose fun-loving, happy little personality never fails to encourage and uplift my spirits every time I see her!

- Two amazing sets of parents and inlaws whose care and love for us are evident every time we get to speak to them or be around them.

- My fearless, thoughtful, and loving hubby who never once complains about a thing, and who takes care of me so faithfully, esp. the days that I'm sick.
Travis, you're a keeper! - My gracious Heavenly Father, whose blessings and provisions are so evident every single day. Thank you, Lord for all You've done...and will continue to do in our lives!

LOL! You sound so much like my sister did for the first few...weeks! (Is that encouraging--instead of months?! ;)) Don't know if you've found it yet, but this is the site where I like keeping track of how my little niece or nephew is developing...http://www.wprc.org/trimester1.phtml !! (National Right to Life's web-site has a neat one too...http://www.nrlc.org/abortion/facts/fetaldevelopment.html...but I like the first one best!)

just ran across your beautiful blog! it is so well put-together and fun to read!
wow! your first baby! I was always very sick, but wish I had enjoyed the journey more. so I will tell you to enjoy the journey of pregnancy, even if you're too sick to see straight. you are experiencing something sooo wonderful right now; this is all part of God's beautiful plan for your life. isn't He just the best??!!! He blesses us with children who are sent straight from above!!! I too have a beautiful marriage, but unhappy ones are all around, unfortunately. we are truly blessed to be married to men who love the Lord and love their wives and families! I will put you on my friends list so that I can keep up with your blog!
bless you and your family!

Hi Myklin! I read about your exciting news awhile back but never took the time to post. I saw you from a distance at Chase and Tiffany's wedding and would have loved to talk but didn't get to. Hope you are feeling much better soon and that the precious baby God has given you and Travis continues to thrive. I'm very happy for you both. :)
I was just thinking the other day about how almost all the gilrs I know who got married last summer are now pregnant! Brigette, Rachel, You and Trisha (I sure hope Trisha had her baby by now but I haven't heard). I love your blog and how you always seem to have such a chipper, thankful spirit. Your writings sound just like you in person!
Hey, check out my blog if you ever have the chance: http://lydiahayden.blogspot.com.
Have a wonderful week with your dear hubby and precious babe.
~Your friend, Lydia
