No Longer Homeschooling

August2

It was a fun 5 years, but the only reason we started homeschooling was because the school system in the town we use to lived in was horrible. The town we now live in (in a completely different state now too), is one of the best school systems in the state. Phillips Exeter Academy is like 5 minutes away if my son ever chooses to go there (I highly doubt it though). He wants to go to a vocational school to learn something to do with cars. He is really into car detailing and design. We do have a vocational school here in town, Seacoast School of Technology, so I may look into this for him for high school.

You can find me at my regular blog, Heather on the Hill.

Can’t post anything at my homestead blog

June15

They did the same changes over at Homesteadblogger as they did here and now I am unable to post anything there. I was able to post one thing, but now nothing and tech support has not gotten back to me.I have to keep emailing the senior editor to get anything done. That is my personal blog and the only one I will be keeping and working on from now on.

This blog will no longer be worked on come the end of this summer. Matt will be going back to school (lets see how long that lasts) so my homeschool time is coming to an end. I am happy in a way because I am exhausted and burnt out. Homeschooling during the day and then working at nights 6 days a week  has left me with no time to do much anything else. My housework is severely lacking I hardly see my family, with the exception of my son. I will be switching to days and trying to find a job more locally. Will save on gas and wear/tear on my car. As it is I have to fill up 2-3 times a week and all I do is go to work and the grocery store.

I hate changes

June1

So, I knew the changes were coming, but I had no idea my hours spent into designing my blog were going to go away completely.  I have no clue how to do much on here. I did manage to find where to change my blog into something more interesting and how to post a message. Now to figure out how to add the html linked pictures I had to take others to other sites I frequent, like CBD and my friends  Etsy sites.

I also had no clue that my Homestead Blog was changing into the same thing as here. Good thing I didn’t spend so much time designing that blog, yet. Only thing is I can not log into it to make any changes.  Hopefully my email will get answered. I have links saved there that are not saved anywhere else. Links to blogs I love.

So hopefully once I get the hang of this new look, I will be back more often.

Welcome to New Hampshire!

December9

We have finally sold our old and bought our new place (We payed cash so no mortgage now WOOT!). We had to put in new hardwood floors before we moved in though. There was really nasty rugs all through out. We also still need to fix up the bathroom, but that will have to wait until the spring.

Homeschooling will resume next week to see how and where to do it in the new place. In our old house we were lucky to have a whole room for our school room, but here, we will have to use the kitchen.

We have a good sized yard which is good. My bedroom is in the back of the house and faces the backyard. It is nice to look out the windows and see nothing but trees. Not that we did not have trees in our old neighborhood in MA, but nothing like this.

We already got 5 inches of snow over the weekend and it started snowing out again this morning, but now it is raining so all the snow is making a big slushy mess. Ugg.

I’ll post more as soon as I find the attachment to my camera to post pictures. hehe
