May. 18, 2008 - *~*Multiplication*~*
Hello Friends!
Who wants to do Multiplication...
This is a subject many children would rather ignore and do something more interesting like... art... recess. Well... I have the solution for all you moms and dads that are trying to be creative with your children.
Visit
Multiplication.com there you will find a wonderful way to teach multiplication to your children.
Here are some examples...
Skate x Skate = Sticky Floor
(8 x 8 = 64)
2=Shoe
3=Tree
4=Door
5=Hive
6=Chicks
7=Surfin'
8=Skate
9=Sign
How cute is that... they will have so much fun reading the little stories that come with each problem.
You can download the PDF
Student Book for very little and make your own pages. You can even have the kids color them in for more interaction with each problem. I did not order the Teachers Manual... as I found the Student Book to be efficient enough in teaching multiplication.
You will also find an area where you can download little
Multiplication Flash Cards that you can print out and create games with them. In our home we printed out each number family on a different colored cardstock ( 2's on blue paper, 3's on red paper... etc...), cut them out, and then played Concentration... Go Fish... etc. You can make learning multiplication loads of fun... give it a try *Ü*
Wishing you all a very blessed week...

Mar. 10, 2008 - ** In Defense of Homeschooling **
Hi Homeschool Families!
Please take the time to listen to Dr. James Dobson from "Focus on the Family" discuss the California state appellate court ruling last week stating that it is illegal for parents in the Golden State to home school their children without the appropriate state teaching credentials.
I also want to share a site with you in reference to what we are talking about today. The site is called
HSLSA Advocates for Homeschooling (Home School Legal Defense Association)
Yes, it can only take one to make a difference. Look at Moses... with God leading our paths nothing is impossible to come to pass.
Please share this is everyone you know... let's take a stand in what we truly believe to be a responsibility and privilege that we have as a parent and provider to our children!
Please keep this alive in your prayer time... God hears our cries and knows our hearts!
Please visit
Oneplace.com "One World One Gospel" May you be blessed and continue to visit this site regularly *Ü*.

Mar. 3, 2008 - **Who Wants To Be President...?**
Hello!
Forgive me for not updating more often... life has been keeping me quite busy.
I do have a site I want to share with you all. The owner is a wonderful Homeschool Blogger as well... her name is Cindy Downes and she blogs at
Empty Nest Mom. She needs to be recognized for her gifted desire to help others while never forgetting that she can always sore to higher education long after her children are off reaping the education she so selfishly gave to them.
Cindy has created a fabulous 12 weeks study on
Presidents and Elections. This time of learning is fun and extremely informative for all involved. I for one was never interested in Politics... due to the "hush-hush" of it all. Today with the world and news around us I have realized it is very important to keep our children informed and aware of such things as... Politics.
Please visit Cindy's President & Elections Unit and be blessed by her fantastic 12 week outline of the studies.
Wishing you all a beautiful week...

Sep. 6, 2007 - Brittany Has Been Called Home...
Brittany was called home on July 26, 2007.
Jesus please comfort and give a peace
that only you can in the hearts of her family and friends
during this time. Thank you Jesus for bringing Brittany
home... where there is no suffering or pain...
in Jesus Name Amen.
To the right is my "Prayer Chain" page you can visit Brittany's site there.
The Heart
"Tomorrow morning," the surgeon began,
"I'll open up your heart..."
"You'll find Jesus there," the boy interrupted
The surgeon looked up, annoyed "I'll
cut your heart open," he continued,
to see how much damage has been done ..."
"But when you open up my heart, you'll
find Jesus in there," said the boy.
The surgeon looked to the parents, who sat
quietly. "When I see how much damage has been done, I'll
sew your heart and chest back up, and I'll plan what to
do next."
"But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The
Bible says He lives there. The
hymns all say He lives there. You'll
find Him in my heart."
The surgeon had, had enough. "I'll tell
you what I'll find in your heart.
I'll find damaged muscle, low blood
supply, and weakened vessels.
And I'll find out if I can make you well."
"You'll find Jesus there too. He lives there "
The surgeon left.
The surgeon sat in his office,
recording his notes from the surgery, "...damaged aorta, damaged
pulmonary vein, widespread muscle degeneration.
No hope for transplant, no hope for cure.
Therapy: painkillers and bed rest. Prognosis:, "
here he paused, "death within one year."
He stopped the recorder, but there was
more to be said. "Why?" he asked aloud.
"Why did You do this? You've put
him here; You've put him in this pain; and
You've cursed him to an early death. Why?"
The Lord answered and said, "The boy, My
lamb, was not meant for your flock for long, for he is a
part of My flock , and will forever be.
Here, in My flock, he will feel no
pain, and will be comforted as you cannot imagine.
His parents will one day join him here,
and they will know peace, and
My flock will continue to grow."
The surgeon's tears were hot, but his
anger was hotter. "You created that
boy, and You created that heart. He'll
be dead in months. Why?"
The Lord answered, "The boy, My lamb,
shall return to My flock, for He has Done his duty: I did not
put My lamb with your flock to lose him, but to
retrieve another lost lamb." YOU!
The surgeon wept.. The surgeon sat
beside the boy's bed; the boy's
parents sat across from him. The boy awoke
and whispered , "Did you cut open my heart?"
"Yes," said the surgeon.
"What did you find?" asked the boy.
"I found Jesus there," said the surgeon

Brittany is our little butterfly.
Thank you all for your support and prayers. They mean so much to us.
Your Love is special
Like the flowers that bloom,
Or when a butterfly emerges
From within its cocoon...
You remind me of that butterfly,
Loving and free,
Bright and colorful,
For the world to see...
We will share sunshine and rainbows;
Sometimes, the rain and the snow;
We'll stand together through it,
While the cold winds blow...
When the time is right,
We won't stop to ask "Why?"
Our Love will take flight
On the wings of a butterfly…
Please keep Brittany's family in your thoughts and prayers.

Aug. 29, 2007 - Astronomy... Solar or Lunar Eclipse
Hello Friends!
Did you set your alarm clock to alert you for the spectacular eclipse on August 28, 2007...? It was a great experience to get the children up to see just how awesome God's creations are!! Just another reminder of how blessed we are to homeschool. We would have had a hard time wanting to get the children up at 2:00 a.m. knowing they had to be up again at 6:30 a.m. to begin their day of public school. We turned the week into an Astronomy adventure of Lunar and Solar Eclipses. I found a wonderful site that is filled with great resources... it's called... Mr. Eclipse. There are beginner links to help introduce Astronomy to students not familiar with an eclipse.
It is my hope that you find this array of resources fun and informative. Explore your creative side and build a Lunar or Solar Eclipse with your family to treasure!!
Have a beautifully blessed week!

Jul. 30, 2007 - A Thought Provoking Message From The Heart
Happy Monday!!
Yes, indeed it is a good day... why many of you may be asking...
No matter what you face today... you are NOT alone! How wonderful is that... knowing you need not worry about who is there with you by your side... who may carry you at any given time. Jesus is there always... even when the enemy tries so hard to convince you to believe you have been left alone to carry your trials on your own.
Are you feeling afraid today...?
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 34:4
Perhaps you’re feeling anxious about your situation or circumstances...
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
Are you facing an illness...feeling sick and in pain...?
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Is doubt filling your thoughts today...?
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what is invisible.
By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings.
By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken he was commended as one who pleased God.
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.
By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though de did not know where he was going.
By faith Abraham, even though he was past age---and Sarah herself was barren---was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise.
All these people were still living by faith when they died.
Hebrews 11
No matter what you’re facing today, do not allow the enemy to steal your joy. He cannot take what you do not allow him to. It matters not if your feeling afraid, feeling anxious, have a heavy cloud of depression lingering overhead, being filled with doubt in your thoughts, carrying the daily weight of sickness and pain. You are not alone... Christ suffered... Christ hurt... Christ carried the sins of all mankind. But through it all He had the promises of God. When the enemy tries to fill you with doubt in your circumstances remember the promises of God...
God has said,
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
Hebrews 12:5-6
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever...
May you have a beautifully blessed week!!

Jun. 17, 2007 - *†* Happy Father's Day *†*
Fathers are Wonderful People
Fathers are wonderful people
Too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
As often as we should...
For, somehow, Father seems to be
The man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up little hurts
And nurses all our ills...
And Father struggles daily
To live up to "HIS IMAGE"
As protector and provider
And "hero or the scrimmage"...
And perhaps that is the reason
We sometimes get the notion,
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion,
But if you look inside Dad's heart,
Where no one else can see
You'll find he's sentimental
And as "soft" as he can be...
But he's so busy every day
In the grueling race of life,
He leaves the sentimental stuff
To his partner and his wife...
But Fathers are just WONDERFUL
In a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments
And accolade of praise,
For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness...
And like OUR HEAVENLY FATHER,
He's a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
To be ALWAYS ON OUR SIDE.
~Helen Steiner Rice~
Thank you dad for being my father... and for being my friend. Your very special to me and I will always cherish you!! The feelings flow ever so easily when I think of you and what you mean to me.
A blessed daughter once wrote these words to her father, She wrote it so true I wanted to share them with you.
I want to thank you for all that is good in me.
You instilled it in me with each hug, scolding,
understanding word, punishment,
and "I love you."
I just wanted to tell you that I am forever grateful,
and I love you very much.
Your Blessed Daughter,

May. 13, 2007 - Happy Mother's Day
A Mother's Love
A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.
~Helen Steiner Rice~
Mom words cannot describe the gratitude I have for you as my mother and as my friend. Daily I am reminded how much you sacrificed for the sake of our family. "Thank You" are mere words for what I feel in my heart. Please always hold close to your heart these words...
You are loved more today than yesterday,
You will loved more tomorrow than you are today.
I am so blessed to call you "Mom",
What a precious word to say.
Happy Mother's Day
I Love You!

Apr. 23, 2007 - Mercury Poisoned
Hello Friends!!
I have come across some startling information regarding the "Silver Fillings" one may have in their mouths. I am one of those unfortunate ones that was never informed about the health risks or HUGE danger of such fillings!!! Please make time to visit the following site for extremely important information you cannot afford to miss!! This is in fact something that is being kept from patients due to the FINANCIAL GAIN many organizations are pocketing each year!! Educate your family and friends... help everyone make healthier choices for their dental care!! It is a sad fact that the dental association will only cover the silver fillings... which create a affordable out of pocket expense. Most people in need of fillings cannot afford the outrageous cost of porcelain or gold options.
MercuryPoisoned.com
This needs to be made more public and we need no longer keep this deadly secret!! It is up to the people to speak out and stop this practice that is being done each day right under our noses!!!
You will read of people that have been diagnosed with MS and other life threatening illnesses.. After removing the fillings they can share their testimonies of how it changed their lives!!!!
Look over the list of symptoms you may be facing today. Do any of them ring a bell with you. Perhaps you have been suffering for years needlessly... all because of the fillings you have in your mouth!!
Talk to your dentist... see what kind of information you are given. I can say from my experience I have had little said. It seems where I take my family they are not familiar with the health risks of "silver fillings." It angers me and yet does not surprise me when money always seems to speak louder than anything else!!! It is time to look for another dental office for my family and I. I will be asking a lot of questions this time around before making a final decision that could possibly affect our health.
Please share this with everyone you can...
Have a beautifully blessed week!!

Apr. 12, 2007 - Especially Heather
Please visit Especially Heather and let her know she is not alone on this journey she faces.
Please click on the banner below to find out how you can help Heather and her family through this journey they must travel.
"It is better to give than to receive." Acts 20:35

Please Donate Here
This precious family brings to mind so many verses, as well as, the story of Job we read about in the bible... here are a few verses to ponder.
God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Matthew 5:4
He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3
When doubt filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.
Psalm 94:19
Jesus said, "Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows.
However, take heart, for I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
And we know that God causes everything to work
together for the good of those who love God
and are called according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28
Jesus said, " And be sure of this:
I am with you always even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:20
Consider it pure joy, my brothers,
whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of
your faith develops perseverance.
Perseverance must finish its work
so that you may be mature and
complete not lacking anything.
James 1:2-5
Heavenly Father... You know each and every need of this precious family.
We seek and ask nothing you have not already
known from the beginning... yet You say...
"Ask and it will be give to you; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds;
and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
Matthew 7:7-8
Just as Job... The Lord said to Satan, "Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger." You see we are reminded that the enemy wants to kill, steal, and destroy our very existence. However, God has yet another blessed plan for our lives far beyond our ability to imagine!!!! The story of Job is one that reminds us of who really is in control of our lives from beginning to end and honestly reminds Satan of who is truly in control of His future!!!!!!!
Please keep Heather and her family in your thoughts and prayers *†*
