Free Online Typing Game

Thanks to  Marie who runs the very informative Washington State blog ( http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/WashingtonState)  for this addicting typing game.  I have copied her description.

Here's a fun speed typing test to try and attempt to keep beating your best time and words missed. I'm looking forward to having our two young people try this.  It took me a couple tries to figure out what was going on with the test. Just keep typing as it times down from 60 seconds. It will scroll more and more words as you need them.  Green words are correct, the red are typed wrong. It will load a score when you are done.

Remember to preview things for suitability for your family.

Click on the link below to be taken to the game.

A Scattergories tag

I guess this could be educational if you wanted to try this with your kids.  I have been tagged by May They Be Mighty Men.   The humorous part of this is I had seen this tag on other blogs and my kids and I had done it on our own as a "thinking skills/creativity exercise."

Scattergories... it's harder than it looks. Copy and paste into a new post. Erase my answers and fill in your own. Use the 1st letter of your name to answer each of the questions...they have to be real places, names, and things...You can't use your name for the boy/girl name question.

What is your name?  Pam

4 letter word:  park

Vehicle:  Pontiac

City:  Paris

Boys name:  Paul

Girls name:  Patricia

Movie: Pocahontas

Occupation: plumber

Something you wear:  pants

Celebrity: Paris Hilton (I am not impressed with her, she was all we could think of)

Food:  Pizza

Something found in a kitchen: Paring Knife

Something found in a bathroom: plumbing

Reason for being late:  picked up a nail in the tire

Cartoon character: Pink Panther

Something you shout: Pick up those toys!

Animal:  Pig

Body part: Pelvis

Word to describe you: Peppy

I'm not sure who to tag, so if you see this and do it with your kids, leave me a comment.
