Bo was barking cause he found something and just couldn't get it. So we went out there and son discovered what Bo was after. Yep, a mole. So son decides to help his ole buddy Bo out.

His dad and I kept telling him that he was going to get bit but he just had to see if he could get him out of that hole. lol He finally did and put him out where we could all see it.

So now what are we to do with it? Well, we could of given back to the fella that found it first. Oh but look at that little fella there, does he really need to be a dog's next meal? Bo does looks like he gets fed enough so as much as we don't like having those mole trails all over the yard, we chose to let the little fella go back to his little hole. And he went down and buried himself very quickly.

 That was one fortunate mole for sure.

I have been thinking lately on teaching my son the correct way to type. Right now he just types by using the one finger. I need to change that and so I found this site that I thought could help him, go here .

Well I told you all how it went with the Art Shows. Well the Museum didn't even show my pictures there which I have already written about. Then today I went down to the other one today to see all the other artwork and to pick up mine. And no I didn't win anything. I was kind of a bummer but that is life too. Not everyone has the same taste in art as I do. I will still be painting the way I do and hopefully improving too. But at least I got my art shown at this show. lol That's all I was after to begin with and if I won anything then that would of been a plus. They did combine photography with the art and most of the winnings was the photography. Most of what was there was the abstract type of art and I am just not into that stuff. It does seem like that is what most paints. Also most of the paintings were double to triple the size of mine. So that is something I may try for the next art show is to paint bigger paintings. Most of my paintings were 8x10 or so. So that will be something to think about.

Anyways, it was a great experience for me to enter. Thank you to all you that was so supportive to me. It is well appreciated. Have a wonderful day.

Well I got some bummer news today. I got a letter from the Museum and they said because of space consideration and artistic merit, that 19 entries were disqualified. Mine being 2 of them.

But I still have 5 over in the other Art Show in another town. So we will see how that goes comes Sunday.

This is a good lesson to teach son on not giving up though. I still like my work and will continue on. lol

I am so glad you all don't mind me showing off my paintings. I love showing them off and seeing the response that I get back. It helps to know what others think. So here we go, my next 2 paintings:

 This one is an 8x10 and is going to my niece for her birthday. 

Another barn painting. This one is one that I am going to enter into another Art Show in another town close by. I can enter up to 5 paintings. I am suppose to get them there this weekend and can pick them up on the 5th of Oct.

Entering in these art shows is out of my element but it is so exciting at the same time. I am hoping to get my name out there some and start selling my paintings for extra money. I have sold some already but it is to family and friends of family. But hey, that's a place to start don't you think. I will let you all know what happens on the Art Shows, if I win anything or not. I know that I may not but it is great to just get my pictures shown out there. 

I still have to decide on 3 more paintings to enter. I may enter the ostrich.

 Also I am going to be working on a deer scene painting today but will have to see how it turns out. lol

Sunday was my 44th birthday and my son gave me a new mouse pad and a little dolphin what-not. Aren't they just adorable. So sweet.

Saturday evening we went to my hubby's cousin's for a cookout. Came home with an extra child. lol So Sunday we went to the 23rd largest sping in Missouri, Althea Spring.

I think I posted about it last year but for the ones that didn't get to see it, here it is again with some other pictures.

First off, for some reason my hubby gets the funniest shoes sometimes. Last time it was blinking shoes and this time, they are bright orange. It is cause that is all they had that would fit him at a yard sale. They were new for $2.00 each.

 Ok, enough of shoes now. lol Look at this beautiful spring. It is just breath taking.

 This is son taking a plunge in where the spring actually comes out of the ground. Mind you, our temp was only at 64 for the day. lol Little cousin there just couldn't bring himself to do it too.

Now on to the waterfall part of it. This first one if what it looks like before going over the fall.

 Son is seen in-behind the fall in the first shot . Dad never did go in though on this trip. He said it was just too cold. lol

Over the weekend my son and hubby worked on 4 wheelers and motorcycles and spent quiet abit of time doing it. So when they got them going they did some playing. I love to see hubby playing with son. It is so cute. Look at son's face cause he thinks he has got dad beat here. lol 

Then the tables turn and dad takes the lead. Sorry it is blurry but I forgot to set the camera to sport for moving things. But you get the picture anyways. lol

 School is going good so far this year and I am so thankful for that. Son is cooperating really well. Maybe, just maybe he is growing up some. He still doesn't like it but at least he isn't fighting me tooth and nail about it.

Well I better get off here now and do some catching up while son is doing his math test. Have a great day.

Well this is what it looked like in our yard this morning after the rest of Ike moved through. We had some pretty high winds but I am so thankful that we didn't get it any worse. So hubby is going to be getting the bucket truck out and getting it taken care of. We have several walnut trees in our yard and most of them are about100 years old. So it is sad when one gets so damaged.

Prayers that anyone else in this storms path is safe. It looks like right now it is in the whole state of Illinois.

Nothing really new to talk about these days so I thought I would share my newest painting.

I have a few little details that I want to get in there but I am thinking of putting it in our Art Show at the Museum this month. I have never entered anything in it before, so it should be interesting.

Son is sitting here doing his end of the 6th grade math test. Then come Monday he will be a full 7th grader. Wow, how time has went by so fast. It really doesnt seem that long ago we were starting 1st grade. The math is getting harder for me too. lol I was never a math whiz and this is really not easy for me. I am learning right along with my son on most of it. I sit and think and wonder just how I past math back in those days. Guess that goes to show you how the public school worked for me. lol
