Snow
I have never seen so much snow in Albuquerque - ever! Here are some pictures that I took.
This is on Route 66. The interstate is to the right. We could only use a four-wheel drive. It started snowing the day before. It had gotten so bad that we had to leave my minivan at a library parking lot on our way home. The next day, we wanted to get the minivan and put it in a safer place. Since my husband had to work anyway, we all traveled together to get it. We took it to my parents house where it still is. Our driveway requires a four-wheel drive.
We ended up spending the night at my sister's house (Auntie B) because of the snow. Her husband, Uncle J (in the Oklahoma hat), invented air-mattress sledding, which was incredibly fun!!!! This is a picture of his sister's family taking a turn.
Here is a picture of Unkie D & Auntie Susu's kids and my boys. They had spent yesterday afternoon making forts. They are standing in front of the girls fort. My sister (Auntie SuSu) and her family live in VA and have been snowed in NM for a few days.
This is our driveway and the reason for a four-wheel drive.
