Happy Thanksgiving
Sometimes it is good to take a moment or two to remember the many blessing the Lord gives. My husband and I talked a bit about that which we are thankful. Given our year, it is good to remember...
1. I have a good husband who loves and adores me (for reasons unknown to me).
2. We have delightful children who makes us laugh, think, grow.
3. We have never gone hungry. You'll have to trust me that there have been times that I was worried on this one.
4. Our home is right for our needs now. I am really enjoying our office, though it took a plant falling and spilling ALL over for me to re-enjoy this well lived in room.
5. We have always had the work we need for our home businesses. This too is nail-biting at times. Owning your own business, though rewarding, is very nerve racking.
6. I have a strong and supportive extended family. My sisters and parents are there for me when I need something as small as a recipe to greater issues. I am feeling the loss of my pastor-Grandpa. My son is an amazing and sharp little man who asks more questions on spirituality that force me to see that I haven't a clue. My "go ask Grandpa" back up is no longer there. Dad, I hope you're brushed up on all kinds of spiritual kiddo questions!
My in-laws have also been a reason for a blessing in our lives. My husband's father is an interesting (as well as peculiar) man. His knowledge of cars and stuff like that keep he and my husband and all to soon my boys occupied for years. My mother-in-law and her husband are supportive in our homeschooling. This is no small thing! I appreciate their encouragement and love in our lives.
7. Mostly, I am thankful for my Lord and Saviour. When I realize, and even this in small doses, His enduring love for me, I am truly amazed!
May you have a blessed and delightful Thanksgiving. Enjoy the homemade pecan pies!

What Is Shepherd's Fold?
Our School's Motto is: Fidelis, Virtus, Continentia
Our School's Motto means: Faith, Virtue, Self-Control
We chose Shepherd's Fold as the name of our school to reflect Jesus, our Shepherd, leading and directing our learning and our lives. The Lord created us to be multi-dimensional. Each part of us needs His guidance. As He cares, directs, and protects for every aspect of our lives, then we, with His help, care for, direct, and protect our children.
The Good Shepherd Art Piece
African Gospel Art has several pieces. This one about the Good Shepherd really connected with me. The kind owner of the site is allowing me to use it in my blog. Please visit the art work; it really is delightful.
