How exciting it was to wake up to blooms in the squash garden this morning! Ain't it perty?
And here's some more maters:

Near as I can figure, our little wading pool should produce about 25-30 pounds of squash and zuchini. That's assuming our little bees arrive and they all pollinate and grow well (if not...we have a plan). Only time will tell and we are getting a crash course in patience. Lord willing, we'll run across a good food scale at our local thrift store and be able to keep a log of the weight of our pickings.
Here is a photo of a wading pool garden from http://www.arts4all.com/elca/

This is on the roof top of a Chicago church. The yield is approximately 40 pounds per 6 foot wading pool! For some really neat photos and lots of information, head over to this link:

Loving your sprouting and blooming pictures! How Exciting. My daughter and I started a butterfly garden a small while ago. But, from the looks of your photos - a tomato plant looks fun to 'raise' too and yummy to eat!
Also, appreciated your post on - Follow the Leader. Very inspirational for momma's.
God Bless!

I love that site. Paul and I were talking about this the other day. Thanks for sharing it. I will try to show him this weekend.
