I'm making a decision. Or should I say I'm re-making a decision? We have been like a derailed freight train here lately and are getting back to the Word of God!
With that being said - God is ALWAYS faithful! He forgives.....He speaks and renews! This morning we gathered together in our living room and read Proverbs 1. One of the verses, Proverbs 1:7, said: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.....
We camped out on that just a little bit before heading off to a few others in the same chapter. What was really neat though, was that after wards while taking song requests from the children, our 7 year old requested Amazing Grace. We began to sing and I was so touched by the truth in this verse....'Was Grace that taught my heart to fear and Grace my fears relieved...' Wow - The theology in hymns! We just finished reading Prov.1:7 about the fear of God and now we were singing about it too! The fear of God cancels out Fear of anything else! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge!
Then....to bring it all home to me.....the phone rang. It was my aunt and she was telling me of all the goings on lately. Apparently my great aunt, whom I have never meant, is dying. Problem is she wasn't saved. She was having all sorts of bad dreams, dreams about what was to come, a dark cloaked figure, could only sleep 20 minutes at a time, and was totally void of any peace. My grandmother flew up there and shared the gospel with her immiately as they did not expect her to survive but a few days at most. She accepted Jesus and is now saved! That was almost 2 weeks ago. My entire point to all of this is that she is sleeping now. She has total peace! She is going in to a nursing home because her heart is still very weak, and her time is coming to a close, BUT the peace that surpasses all understanding has engulfed her - God's Spirit is with her! She is spending her final days in peace! Simply put....she is about to exit her earthly home for a far better eternal home and her countenance is one of the evidences of the Peace of God!
Her eyes were blinded to truth....The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge! Twas Grace that taught her heart to fear (fear God) and Grace her fears were relieved (fear of man, peril, the unknown, death....). Gods grace makes us fearless! Amen!

Hi!
I would love to share with you! It is quite simple, really. We got the idea, and pattern from a book called Knits from the Heart, by Kristin Spurkland.
What you do is make 49 squares to the instructions below. Make sure you have a preset gauge, though, otherwise you squares will quite a few different sizes!
You cast on 22 stiches, and knit for 40 rows. The patten in the book is for making 7 strips, but we broke it up into squares, so that more people could take part.
I am so glad that you started knitting, because it is such a fun and rewarding hobby. You can make clothes, baby things, household items, in fact, almost anything!
Also, have you checked out Knitting Patten Central yet? They have TONS of links to free patterns. Here is the url:

I hope you enjoy knitting, and hope I have been helpful!
Have a very bright, very cheerful day!
