This week I have a really fun product for your older children! It's a scavenger hunt! This free pdf will teach your kids how to roam the Internet safely, looking for very specific pieces of information. There is a list of 50 Science and Geography questions to find using Google. This scavenger hunt is an excerpt from Computer Science Pure and Simple which is a self study course for kids ages 12 and up to learn computer skills and programming. It's a blast! You can download the free scavenger hunt from this link.
Now how about something for the younger kiddos? When I was a child I can remember many happy hours spent sitting around the record player listening to wonderful (scratchy!) stories. We owned a few and many we checked out from the library. I never dreamed I would hear any of those stories again! Boy, was I wrong!
Check out this amazing website called Kiddie Records Weekly! There are nearly 200 recordings that can be listened to for FREE! Even the covers have been scanned, restored and preserved on the website! I really enjoy hearing the voices of Bing Crosby, Gene Autry, Danny Kaye, Shirley Temple, Rosemary Clooney, Orson Welles, and many more! This website is truly a treasure. I hope you enjoy sharing these with your kids as much as I am with mine!
I'll see you next week right here at - Freebie Fridays!
Happy Homeschooling,
