Traveling is big part of our homeschooling, can you tell?
We are a traveling family also. We haven’t been able to in the recent past, but are intending on setting our again in the near future. I love your lapbooks. I just ordered some great accordian style books from TLC (a scrapbooking company). We would like to lapbook some of our travels. Great job and BTW, I love your blog.
2005 was somewhat exceptional for us in traveling. We had a wedding to attend in the Midwest that we made into a 3 week tour of the Western half of the U.S.A. We went to CA several times for several different reasons & then a death in the family took us back to the Midwest a 2nd time around! We do love to travel though and seem to learn as much from being on the road as we do from our schoolbooks. Whenever we are travling I am always on the lookout for interesting places to stop and learn. In the past we have gone on MANY busniess trips with Dad. (Although this year we didn’t travel with him on business at all.) I guess my biggest piece of advice it “just do it”, your kids will get a hands on education they will never forgot! (This was posted in response to the comment by jewelspring asking how we manage to travel so much.)
thanks for your comment, it led me to your blog. Oh do tell, how ARE you able to provide so much travel to your family?! Please fill the community in!
