Ryan and I were zipping down the highway on our way home when I spotted a church sign out my window. My eyes widened in disbelief. "Pull over, Ryan!" I shouted excitedly.
He looked at my like I was insane, of course. I suppose that was the natural reaction. "Why?" he asked.
"Because I just saw the most unbelievable thing on a church sign back there and we have to take a picture of it," I said, aware that my voice had risen two octaves in my excitement.
Unconvinced, Ryan asked, ‘What did it say?" I told him. "No it didn’t!!" he responded. "You read it wrong. There is no way it said that."
"Yes it did!" I said in my new squeaky voice. "Turn around and you’ll see. PLEASE!!!"
He sighed and exited. I bounced up and down in my seat as we neared the church. I rolled my window down and got the camera ready. "Slow down!" I ordered. "We’re getting close and I want a good picture of it!"
I knew the exact second that he saw the sign because the car came to a complete stop. I rolled with laughter and looked at him. His mouth was open and his eyes were smiling. "I can’t believe it says that!" he said. But it did say that! And I have proof!
