Templates, Dancing, Snow.... A Lot Has Been Going on Here!

I'm working on another template.

I think I will keep the theme a seceret so it will be a surprise.

I'm still learning how to work all of the stuff in DreamWeaver so it may take a while to get the template up here.

That also means that I may not be posting for a few weeks, or a month, or however long.

Some News

We went to an English Country Dance last night.

It was so much fun!  Dad told me, "I think that's the happiest I've ever seen you before!"

Well , hey, dances are, like, the most fun kind of fun there is.

He says that I was smiling the whole time.

Well...  Who wouldn't smile the whole time?

There were six dances in all.

They were:

Viginia Reel

Gay Gordan

Chase the Fox

Posties Jig

Dog something (I don't remember this one.  Probably because I didn't dance it.)

Viginia Reel again.

I think the Posties Jig was my favorite even though they were all so much fun.

The dance started at 6:00pm and ended at like 10:45pm.

I think we are all obsesed with dancing now.  We danced all this morning and then after lunch and, I bet if we could have, we would have danced after dinner and into the night.

The night before the dance Dad told everybody, "Okay, we're not going to this thing to find spouses."

Jason: "What's that?"

Mom: "Husbands and wives."

Jason: "Awwwwww........"

Everyone burst out laughing.

I guess he was looking to find a wife at the dance!

Mom is editing all of the millions of pictures Dad took at the dance right now.

I think that everyone should go to a dance at least once in their life.

We got some snow today.  It was snowing big flakes so we went out front and played for a little while.

It snowed about half an inch by my little finger.

I think that is all the news.

You might want to check out my mom's blog a little later for pictures and more details about the dance.

Dearest Jenna,

I am so proud of all you are learning to do with the computer. Do you remember one of the first times I came up to visit you in Phoenix, you were only about four years old at the time. And you showed me which keys to push on the keyboard to "escape" when things were going weird on the screen. You have always been very bright when it come to computers!!

I hope the weather is warmer back there. Those were great ice pictures you took!! I hope some day you get to experience an "ice fog" that leaves a thick coating of frost on everything. That is really pretty!!

Today I plan to work on a letter to you kids so you can see what I have been doing this last month.

When I was in Elementry school and Jr. High we had square dancing once a week. It was lots of fun!! I am glad you are having a chance to learn how to square dance it is good exercise and you get to meet lots of new people to boot.

Yesterday Grandpa Rick and I stayed in bed until 5:00pm!! We had a couple of snacks in bed. One was a dip I made out of some roasted garlic with olive oil and Balsamic vinegar, we dipped french bread in it. And another snack was hot cups of potato soup I had made for a party we attended on Saturday night. It is a potato rosemary soup, you saute the potatoes and onions until they are golden brown, then add vegetable or chicken stock, simmer for a few minutes, then put it all in a blender until it is very smooth. Put in some half and half or milk heat it back up, it is really good!

We watched movies all day, one was a really good one from WW II, the title is "Mrs. Miniver". It is a black and white movie, about a family in a small village in England at the beginning of WW II, how they try to have a normal life during a time of war. I think you kids would enjoy it, there are some funny parts and some sad parts too. But, it is a classic movie from back in the 1940's.

Stay warm!!

Love you bunches,
Grandma Heidi

I am still not figuring out exactly how this site works, I can't seem to get it to let me log in and put my picture up with my comments on this site? It does it sometimes but not always.

Sorry to hear Caleb had to go to Kitty Heaven. I am glad you will be getting a new kitten. Kittens are lots of fun.

Hope you are having a good time designing a new heading and things, I am anxious to see what you have come up with.
