Last night our daughter Mandy was in a car accident. She had school until late and then was driving home. She had stopped in Sturgeon Bay to drop off her car at a garage to be fixed and then took her fiance's car to head home. She mad it to Sturgeon Bay and then it appears that she became tired and fell asleep at the wheel. But, we serve a very big God and He, as only He can do, orchestrated the evening so that on a one mile stretch of down town Sister Bay, there was 1 car parked along the side. That is what our daughter hit as she started to doze off. It was after 11:30 when we received her frantic phone call, a parent's worse nightmare, and made the franctic drive down to Sister Bay to be with her. She had a bump on her head but other than being emotionally upset, was fine. The sweetest thing was when Ben showed up he just opened his arms and hugged her tight, obviously more concerned about her well being than his car. I commented to him that we Johnson women do this to our fiance's cars, as I crashed Rick's when we were engaged. We all laughed. I am thankful that God had a car parked as a tree or pole would have not been so forgiving, and I fear what might have happened to our beautiful daughter. God is so good. |
