Beautiful Evening / Beautiful Day

Well, our time at Scand went to well. Our three girls still at home all went with me. I was pleasantly surprised with a beauitful electronic piano/organ to play on. We had our bass player, harmonica, guitar, piano and about seven voices. I think all the residents enjoyed it very much. Our daughter Kristi commented as we left that she had decided to count it all joy when I told her that we should all go and sing, and....... God had met her in it and gave her great joy in doing this act of kindness. I was so proud of her. Oh to find joy in sacrificing our lives! Last night was a wonderful first time for us. We had our daughter's fiance's parents, Geoff and Susan over for dinner. We had a wonderful time together, much of it laughing at funny stories we all shared. It was a special night as it was the first time that they have been to our home. As we were going to bed we commented on how wonderful it is to have joy in meeting this new family which will be forever attached to ours. We could not imagine how hard it would be to connect with people who are not friendly or have little humor. Praise God this is not the case with Ben's folks! |
