Back on the home front again!
It feels good to be home again after a wonderful time with family in Tenn..  We went and stayed with my sister and her husband and 8 children along with my parents who live on their property as well.  In fact, we stayed in the third home on this property which belonged to my sister's MIL.  We just love Tenn..  It is so peaceful out where they live and the beauty of this place ministered to my very soul.
We arrived a few days before my sister and her family were to get back from a trip and so we have Grandpa and Grandma all to ourselves.  We just relaxed and visited together.  Our son flew down on Friday to join us and had quite the adventure flying as the midwest was swamped with snowstorms.  My sister arrived in on Saturday night and we enjoyed seeing all the children, seven boys and one little girl. Sunday we went to my folk's wonderful church.  It is a Southern Baptist church that is very Spirit filled and I am always blessed and challenged by the teaching and prayer  and intercessory time time that they have.
We really did not leave the "ranch" much during our time there.  We played outside, and did school together.  Well, we were on a break of sorts so we did math games, science and art together.  My sister has a school house which really makes it fun.  I cannot say enough about how proud I am of my sister.  She really works hard with all these children, the oldest being just 15, and it is not easy.  But, she is doing a great job.  Those boys sing three part harmony, know hymns, can quote scripture down to the 2 year old, and they are doing well with their classes.  She is a great mom and I was watching her teach, being challenged at the same time.  We got so inspired that we came home and reworked our school room and the way we do our day.  AND, the girls put a chore list together on their own initiative.  WOW!
We ate suppers together which was no small task with 18 mouths to feed, but everyone pitched in and it came together.  One of our traditions when we are down south are game nights.  We play new games every year and have so much fun and sweet fellowship.  The best part is the prayer times together and godly discussions, and the laughter. We laugh so much.  My brother-in-law is one of the funniest guys I know.  He just cracks me up.  We all have a great sense of humor and we laughed until our sides ache!
We also enjoyed their fire-pit having a cookout down by the school house under the full moon.
I took the time to video my Dad, documenting some of his history from his childhood, and his testimony of coming to know Jesus.  It was very moving to see the heritage that I come from, and God's hand on each generation.
I am so thankful for this beautiful place and my parents being there.  It was so hard to leave, our hearts are very drawn to Tenn.. We will see what God has in store for our lives.

I loved reading your account of your vacation. It sounds soooooo wonderful. I want to say the word, 'idyllic' but I'm not sure if I'm even close to spelling that right.
It is wonderful that you have a sister that shares your same values and has a large family, too. One that homeschools and you share so much in common with. She truly sounds remarkable. I know I marveled when I read about all the things she does so well with her children. Wow!
What a perfect place to be - Tennessee - and with family. Your parents, your sister's family. I am sure you would love to just stay there with them and I'm betting that they wish you could too.

No, there's nothing wrong with your computer, it's me that is just not able to figure it all out yet. I'll keep working on it.
Your sister relationship is what I desire for my girls...I never had a sister ( and I have two brothers that do not share anything in common with me), and I look forward to them all walking in unity and fellowship as you do with your sister. (ages 25, 15, 8)
Have a wonderful day with pleasant memories of your trip!
