We have been enjoying the little bit of spring that we have had the last few days. Annie and Melody have been on the trampoline every afternoon. I wish I would have washed my rugs and had them dry on the line, maybe tomorrow before the next cold front hits. This snow in the forecast for the next 4 days is ridiculous! We had a wonderful Palm Sunday at church with palm branches waving during the worship. It was communion which is always a precious time of remembering the sacrifice given for us. We were invited out with friends for dinner after church and that was a nice time. I had offered to have them come to our house and eat as it is so much more relaxing to be in a home together but they insisted that would be to much. I could not get them to understand that cooking for even 4-6 more is not that difficult when I am already making a big meal. My husband and I enjoy using our home for hospitality and it is not hard. We had folks over on Friday night, dear friends from Madison where they pastor in a church there. Talk about a radical place to be spreading the Gospel! We had the sweetest time and never left the table until 10:30 as we sat and shared lives together. How sweet and beautiful it is to share a meal and bless one another. We often pray together after the night is done and Mark prayed a beautiful prayer, Spirit led, as he did not even know our hearts as he prayed over specific concerns we are having. Isn't God so rich that He uses us to bless each other through His wisdom and love. This supernatural walk is priceless. Today I woke up feeling rather crummy, my lungs feel heavy and my head hurts. This hit me totally by surprise. I have rested many times today as I need to fight this off fast. We have a very full week with our daughter Jeni coming home with her roommate Jessie, many college kids home which means late nights and a full house, and then Easter here at our home on Sunday. Not to mention the awesome music service of praise that we have planned. I want to feel good! We will see how it goes. |
