Home Life with a sick mom

Posted in Home Life

This past week has been awful for me healthwise.  A bad sinus infection and fever of 101 plagued me most of the week.  My illness also gave the children a great chance to practice another of the benefits of home schooling.
Not only did the children keep their schooling going, at around 75% which is good enough for me when I am down, but they also kept the house going.  My husband was a great help as well.  The girls kept the house picked up, made meals, and took care of me.  On Wednesday when it was apparent that I needed to see a doctor, Kristi drove me there, 23 miles away.  She also took the grocery list and got all the groceries for us.
They were loving and kind with few arguments the whole week.  They also blessed their father by bringing him his coffee after supper and taking care of his lunch pail.  He was so proud of them.  Kristi took care of Melly's hair as well.  I am so glad that they are showing such competency in taking care of the home,  They are getting A's  in home-ec!
