Yesterday I lead worship at a ladies brunch focusing on the new year. It had the typical subjects of most resolutions; weight, eating healthy, exercise, reading the Bible daily. It was good, and the speaker did a good job of motivating without shame. It was fun to be with these ladies. The only problem was my eyesight. I was trying to read the music chords and no matter how I tipped my head my eyes could not see clearly. I just celebrated my birthday and so I was a wondering to myself if it is just age, and not just the glasses. Our days have been busy with getting school back on track, it is! Getting our home back in order after the holidays, almost there! Memories of the holidays always leave a special warm spot in my heart that lingers through the month of January. What a delightful time. We have had snow again and so it looks like the north woods again, pictures will be coming. The girls are enjoying snowmobiling and playing outside. My husband sat through the Packer game with his brothers cheering on them to a victory, in snow flurries. You know my man is die-hard when he sits in cold and all sorts of weather to cheer on his team. We are excited to watch the Cowboys, cheering for a loss! I always wonder about how 1 Cor. 13 plays into being a sports fan. How do you love and think the best of others when you really need for them to lose the game :) I am going to make some hot-cocoa and join the children outside. It is to nice to be inside today. |
