Oh, I know it has been a long long time since I've last posted, but, hey! I've been checking my comments EVERY day!
So, how are you all? (my like 2? readers (just kidding) )
Well, we went hunting. Just the boys got one deer each.
But, down to the basics of this post, exactly two weeks ago (seems like F O R E V E R, though!) Mom and Joe went to OR, because Grandpa was dying again.
Today, about a half hour ago, we received word that Grandpa passed on to be with the Lord.
I was thinking, it was a sweet sad thing. A sweet thing because Mom and Joe would come home, and a sad thing because we would never see Grandpa again.
And then, I was thinking again. It is a sweet sweet thing! Because we WILL be seeing Grandpa again, but in a much better Place!

Hello!
It has been long... too long since I last posted.
Well, alot has happened since I posted last.
First of all, Rase turned 7 on the 8th of September, Mom's birthday was on the 1st of October, and Ben's birthday was on the 5th.
We are going hunting in a few days, so we went target practicing (or  as we call it, "shootin' ") yesterday. We also invited some friends shooting. They came.  Here are a bunch of pictures.

Awwwww. They don't want to work right now. Next time I post I will do the pictures.

Ok, so. On Friday, it was pretty warm. All the snow was melting. Just some was left, but it was going gone, too. Dad and Ben were working on Ben's pickup and Tess and I were walking down our driveway, inspecting a kind of drainage ditch Dad had made, when I heard this rustle at my feet, and a movement. I quickly looked down, and saw a snake........... (Gramma, you shouldn't read the next part....... lol. just kidding. You could if ya want. ;) ) Ok, I looked down, and saw a snake striking at me! Everything happened in a split second. I stopped Tess, and turned, screaming and running up the driveway in panic. (Our parents taught us never to scream unless you see a snake, or a bad guy is taking you) Dad and Ben were like "What happened?" I said in a really panicky shaky voice, "A snake!" Dad said "Where?" I said "It was.... STRIKING!" Dad just said, "Where is it?" I pointed to the place and said, "Over the snow bank." I wasn't completely in my mind, because it wasn't a snow bank, it was just a little patch of snow. Dad and Ben were musing, "Snow bank?" They walked over to where I had indicated, while some people came out of the house. Then I lost it, 'cause I was just sooooooo scared. I started crying. Quickly I got a hold of myself again, and sat down on a pallet that was on the ground to fully get a grip on myself, while my family went to see snake. It turned out to be a baby bull snake, that Dad said was very aggressive. Apperantly, Abby (4) has never seen me cry before. She told everybody, "Kate was crying!" Then she asked me, "Kate, why were you crying?" I answered, "'Cause I was so scared." Then Abby was telling everybody "Kate was crying 'cause she was scared." She was pretty awed! lol!

So, that was pretty exciting! No, the snake didn't bite me, thankfully. But it WAS striking. That is what scared me so much.

Well, I've got to get to bed, now. G'night!
