Five Things Meme
Just for fun, I'm doing a meme I found over at Mamma1420's blog.
Five Things in the Freezer: In the chest freezer, 1) Tons of boneless/skinless chicken breasts from when it was on sale a couple of months ago; 2) Miscellaneous jars and tubs of homemade strawberry freezer jam; 3) Edy's Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream (being saved for when Oreos go on sale). In the fridge freezer, 4) frozen banana slices and strawberries for smoothies; and 5) hamburger buns.
Five Things in the Closet: Which one? I'll choose the one here in the classroom: 1) Games, up on the shelf. This is one of about four different game repositories in the house. 2) Growth chart, taped to the inside of the door. 3) Box of old comic books from the late 60s/early 70s that my brother and I read growing up; still hoping that some of the Disney digests and superhero ones are worth something. 4) Rolled-up wall-sized map of U.S.A., waiting for repairs. 5) Baby stuff that either is an heirloom and needs to be returned to my mother-in-law or is no longer needed and needs to go in the attic or to Goodwill.
Five Things in the Car: 1) Pens that don't work 2) Cassette tapes I'm embarrassed to tell about but like too much to get rid of, including bootlegs of Survivor and Boston albums. Also a cassette of my high school choir circa 1987, with my brother playing bass accompaniment on one of the songs. 3) Children's books between the carseats 4) City street map of Grand Rapids and environs 5) A butter knife borrowed from church for some reason that needs to go back if I ever remember to take it in and wash it.
Five Things in my Purse: 1) Wallet 2) Pens, pens, pens 3) Sunglasses 4) Breath mints 5) Keys to church, parents' place, and quite possibly to the house they moved out of a year ago...
Five Things in my Wallet: In order of most used, I think: 1) Library card, of course 2) Driver's license 3) Discover card 4) Very little cash 5) A scrap of paper with my own cellphone number on it, because while I have a cellphone, I rarely use it. My husband got a deal on one through work and thought it would be a good idea when I was reporting late into the night to have handy in case the car broke down or something. I really don't know my own cellphone number. Still.
