Memorization Box

I have to say that one of my favorite new homeschooling / discipleship tricks is the Memorization Box I somehow discovered, probably through the Well-Trained Mind boards, at Simply Charlotte Mason. I haven't filled the whole thing yet, but it gives me a good opportunity to put in the review sections some Bible verses Comet (and for some, Dancer) learned last year and even long ago for various reasons. I also am putting in states and capitals, and continents/oceans, and who knows what else? My problem is that the first Daily card is all of Psalm 8, which is scheduled to be in there for six weeks, though we usually get it down a little faster than Sonlight suggests. I suppose I could put vocabulary from Prima Latina in there, too.

What are some must-know things other than Bible verses that should go in a 3rd-grade boy's box? Be specific!

1. I don't have an answer for your memorization box, but I love this concept. I just have to make sure we do them everyday! I mixed mine up too.

2. I like NoeoScience but I'd prefer (ain't I picky?) to have the subjects split up for each year. I'm sure someone who visits my blog will find you answer very useful! Plus the costs were a factor too.
I'll be listing the contenders soon, probably over the weekend or Monday.

Thanks Karen, you're a doll!
