I  read Shiloh written by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor.
This was a fiction book about a boy trying to keep the dog he calls Shiloh.  The main people in this story were Marty Preston,Judd Travers and a beagle Marty calls Shiloh. In this story , this is what happened   Marty tries to hide Shiloh on a hill behind  his family's house. His parents don't know that he is keeping the dog back there.  The dog really belongs  to Judd, but Marty doesn't want to give the dog back because Judd kicks his dogs. At the end of the book Judd makes a deal with Marty. If he  would keep quite the deer he shot out of season, and work twenty hours for him, he would give him the dog. I liked this book because it was about a dog and I really like dogs.

• Oct. 30, 2008 - The best day ever-40

Posted in school
It started as an ordinary autumn day.  The leaves had begun to pile up outside and the weather had turned colder.  I put on my jacket and went outside.  Then something happened that changed my ordinary day into an extraordinary day.
My name is Emma and I'm here to tell you about what happened on my extraordinary day. First I saw something moving in the trees. It was as squirrel. It seemed like it had something to tell me, but I couldn't figure out what.  Then I saw it: Millions of them flying, just flying through the sky- Pegasus.  At first I just didn't believe it, but then I realized it was true!  They all landed down in my backyard, and I hopped on the most beautiful one.  It was a diamond Pegasus.  Then they took off again with me on his back.  They took me to Pegasus land where it was fall in the east and the west. But all year round, it stayed warm in the south and cold in the north.  But in the east and the west, it was beautiful fall.  Then the one I was riding suddenly landed in the east. "My girl, " he said to me, "I cannot stay, but I believe you will like it here in the east.  I must return to my home in the south.  And they took off again, only this time toward the south.  I met some friendly Pegasus in the east.  I ended up Pegasus sitting some of the little ones.  I got paid, but the money that they give doesn't work in the real world.

Anyway, after that, they had me climb on a gemstone Pegasus, and they took off.  And that was the end of my extraordinary day!
