A Apple Pie

The Kid’s Literature Club presents A Apple PieA Apple Pie was written by Kate Greenaway in 1886.  Here you will find Ms. Greenaway’s book  as a printable pdf document, a unit study based on the book (also in pdf form), and several online word games based on words from the book.

Ms. Greenaway is known primarily as an illustrator.  In this book she made watercolor illustrations of a very old alphabet rhyme.  The paintings were transfered to wood blocks and then books were printed.  The process is known as photolithography.   You can read more about her on Wikipedia.

You can also find A Apple Pie in libraries and bookstores, or at Project Gutenberg.
