Excited Elfs

Send your own ElfYourself eCards

We are taking a break and getting ready for Grandma and Grandpa's visit with us.

Last night we put up our tree and today the sun is shining but the wind is calling for a white Christmas.

We began our journey through "Tabitha's Travels" by Arnold Ytreeide.

What a wonderful Advent tradition.

I am not sure I will be posting much.

I am going to have my camera fixed and ready for those Kodak Moments.

Thinking of my many friends and family here, and lifting you each in prayer this Christmas Season.

He came with a purpose

To save sinful man,

And to die to redeem us,

For no one else can...

It's my boyish charm

Bookends

We had such a wonderful time at the Lake. The food just  gets better every year.

There wasn't enough snow to ski in, but we had some great hikes and plenty of photos of Eagles.

The fellowship was grand, and we didn't miss the news, phone or computer.

I took this picture at our Homeschool Harvest party.

Ever played "Chubby Bunny" before?

What a hoot!

Remembering Lorrie

Another year has passed.

I too, hear your voice on the recorder and break down at your straining to be strong greeting.

When I drive by the house, I look to see a glimpse of your bright sunny kitchen.

your still right there with your  predictable little sayings like:

"Hellooooooooooooooo Dear"

and

"Whats for dinner tonight?"

The girls and I celebrated you, over tea today.

You should have been there too.

Plopped on Sue's floor with a cup of tea and your hot water bottle.

laughing, sharing, learning and loving.

We're all missin you Lori.

Our Prayers go out to you M, L and A....and family.

His gentle reminder to me:

In everything give thanks;

for this is God's will for you

 in Christ Jesus.

Witty faced life with a grin

Thinkstock Single Images

I don't know why, but bad news and lots of it can send me to a place where all I want to do is curl up with a cup of tea, watch the winds howl through the trees, take the phone off the hook, and read.

Today's weather and forcast of uncertain times in America has me almost immobilized at times.

I find myself doing a lot of battling in my head.

"No stinkin thinkin, look around and enjoy your present, make it the best you can with the gifts you've been given.

And for goodness sake...

appreciate people and stop and tell them you do!

remember always... the ordinary is special,

and breath"

P.S. I can't wait to curl up with "The Christmas Sweater" By Glen Beck.

It's on my wish-list.

Thoughts on Thursday

“O God, am I called to put up with being badly served?

I will do so gladly, if only I can thereby serve You well.

My work is not to be well served, but to serve You well,

to be gentle and patient under all that disturbs me.”
