Okay I have gotten it all figured out.
For reading and phonics. Im going with R&S 2nd grade. WE used 1st grade this year. So if it isnt broken then why fix it. Right?
For Math going back to R&S also. Love the approach and daughter has learned alot with it.
For science. We are going with christian kids explore biology .
For history we are going with MOH vol 2. Then we are adding in a lesson a week of social studies R&S 2nd grade and Abeka 2nd grade. Then to finish out the year of social studies the US. Presidents.
For Art WE are going with How great thou art Lamb book of art.
For music. Meet the great composer, and then of course guitar lessons.
For spelling we are going with Horizons 2nd grade if that doesnt work out WE are going with R&S spelling.
For handwriting we are going with A reason for handwriting Book T. If we dont like that we will go with R&S or Horizons. SO we will see
Then we are going to do Prima latina again and then go into latina christiana 1 next.
So that is what we are doing for next year. So Im glad to be ready to get started. So I just have a few things left to order then Im done. W
We will be also starting year round schooling this year also to see how that works out for us. So we will see.

Okay in a few months someone send me some ear plugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| Okay we agreed that Daughter can take guitar lessons. So we are going to buy her a guitar for her birthday in July. What are we getting ourselves into. She is so excited about the guitar and lessons. So off to rainbow resource for the books for class. So yeah for her boo whoo for me. SO please pray for me. We are getting the guitar for 120.00 It is a name brand one and not from walmart. |

Well I recieved my reading, math, and history books today.
I still feeling good about what I chose for school this year. Now I have only a few things left to get. Then school books are done. Then of course the only other thing to start buying is some school supplies. I know that this year I will buy more glue then any other thing. We went through alot of glue. So that will be important then. I will also have to buy more dry broad markers. Ours seem to be drying up on us. So I will need some more.
I have been looking at the new books and seeing that there is more work then this year with R&S reading and phonics. The math seems to be even longer then this year. Also I got to say I love the blacklines that go with R&S math alot more this year. They have included in them the patterns for their bees and blossoms. They are great. What can I say MOH 2 is looking good. Im glad that I chose them agian this year. I cant wait to finish 1 then start 2. I know that Im going to enjoy the year and focus more on daughters school then anything else.

Oh why oh why did I talk to my cousin
| The one that told me about homeschooling just talked me to me about homeschooling just talked me into cutting out over half my budget. So if we get into a schedule next year. Then If we have time left over then we will add more stuff. As it stands I will be out less then 50.00 for all of it. Now I will have a budget for the extras. YEAH. Like crayons markers, paint, coloring pencils, and other art stuff. Then we will add in music and such on top of that. We will just read the bible for bible time. I have the reading, phonics, math, science and history. So all I have to order is the workbooks for R&S Reading , Phonics and the black lines for math. So yeah for me. |

we redid school room
Today I decided to re arrange our school room I put all my school room to one side and made it more child friendly. I put my white broad down so that daughter can reach it better.  So Im glad to make it look better.  I put all of her books for school on her a shelf then of course all my TM are on a shelf. So here is the pictures to show you what I mean.I I made it better organized for Daughter and me. I can still teach and use the broad. But she also still has everything with in her fingertips. Now if I could make the whole office look so neat. Then i wouldnt feel so bad. |

We bought a boat..
Yes we bought a boat today. We only gave $950.00 for it. WE love going to lake but it cost alot of money to ride around on pontoon boat. So we bought a 1978 ski boat. So that way we can just ride around with alot more. So here it is.  |

Here is what I have decided for next year.
Reading R&S 2nd grade
Phonics R&S 2nd grade
Math R&S 2nd grade
Spelling 3rd grade
Penmanship finish 3rd grade then go to 4th grade
Bible reading a bible passage and the explorer bible study
History MOH vol 2
Science Christian kids explore biology.
Latin Prima latina again then move into Latina Christiana .
Art Artpac 2
Music R&S again
I will be ordering my books in about two months. Then we will start school when we feel like it. I might change music around some and use two different types of music. So we will see on that though. So that is what I am planning. |

Yesterday was a new kind of homeschooling for us.
    Yesterday we re-arrange daughter's room. While we did that we was using measuring tape to see what wall and area would support her furniture. Then we moved the furniture to the new spot. Then we played pick up all the stuff that was under her dresser and entertainment center. SHE HAS TO MUCH STUFF. Then I thought her how to vacuum the whole floor and not just one spot. The we wash the dishes. Then she grabbed up some books and started reading. So we didnt get any of the R&S done or christian kids explore but we got Home EC. done. Some times life skills is better learn then book skills. I have never seen a book move furniture and wash dishes. So today we will be back at the books. Aw the joys of learning at home. I took these picture to show daughter that her room looks better clean then messed up. |

Yes It has finally cliicked for us
| My Daughter can skip count . Her 10's and her 5's. THank you R&S. I couldnt believe it. We used Horizons last year and she didnt do to good. So this year we changed to R&S and can you say success. Yeah. I am so excited that it is working so well. I cant wait for her to learn more. SO if you are having trouble with curriculum look at R&S. I dont think you will be disappointed with it. |

musings about christmas
| Christmas is the time to honor God and Jesus. I was wondering one thing. Where did the wise men get throwing into the nativity scene. They didnt come until a little later on and yet every nativity scene shows the wise men in it. Also were did the stable come in. I have been wondering this for awhile. I know about the manager but didnt they use to keep their sheep in caves. So I guess it is off to the bible to figure this out. |

| Well my friend that homeschools bought Christian Kids Explore with Earth and space book . So she will be letting me look at it to see if we would like it alot better. So Im hoping so. If we do then I plan on ordering the Biology one for next year. So wish us luck with it. |

Well the week has been busy.
Well I have been cleaning up the yard for the winter time. We had a bank side of the hill in front of our hill we live on. So Daughter and I got out there Wensday afternoon pulling up weeds and cutting down thick vines and cutting down little trees so that some could grow bigger. It looks pretty good. We still have a lot more to do on it. We still have to mow it. Then it will be ready.
We went to a play of "Max and Ruby" yesterday morning and it was good. We laughed a lot and it was pretty funny. We then went out to eat and we went to a yard sale. So we didn't do school work. But we did learn stuff yesterday. The next play we will go to is "If you give a pig a party" so I hope it to is fun to do. That play will be on Feb. 1. So we will be probley go to a lot more plays as they become adviable. |

Well science isnt going to well
| Well the science isnt working out for some reason so I will be buying lapbooking and see if that will help out if not then Im lost to what else to do but to buy all new program. I wish it was going better but it isnt. I have been researching and all for something new but I have spent my homeschool curriculum budget. I have a few dollars to buy supplements to go with it but not a new program. So I will buy some lapbooks and such to see if I can find the answer if I cant find the answer then we will give up science for this year or we will go with R&S for science. |

Well school is great this year.
Well I sit down and talked to Daughter I asked her if she liked school? If she liked all of the subjects? and If she liked everything that has been covered and such? She says yes that she likes all of it. She said she really liked her math and spelling. She said though she had only one problem with school and that is the Latin. She said that she needed more drilling and listening to cd for her to learn the words. So I made her flash cards and we will slow the weekly lessons down some and do a lesson every two weeks with doing a review every lesson. Then of courso doing the review lesson and test in the book. So Im glad she likes everything though So Im going to add lapbooking to science to make it more interesting to her and go from there. We are doing alot of things this year So I hope that we get all of it done but that it is okay if we dont. I dont care as long as we are having fun doing school.
I wish though that people in my family would understand though that we are homeschooling and that is how it is going to be. My Big brother asked my grandmother when we was going to put Daughter in school and she told him that Daughter stayed in trouble at school and that she is learning alot from being homeschooled. She said that Daughter can read and that she knows her math facts and such. See his daughter is in the Army school at the Base he is stationed at. Their school is a whole lot different system then what we have here. The schools around here are worried about the money and not the students. So It is fustrating to no end having your decision questioned. I wouldnt dare to question him or his wifes decision. So I just go on about my business and really dont worry about it. If I did than me and my mom would be into it all the time. She too thinks that Daughter should be in school and that I should be working also. So that is a whole another story there. |

Today Im 28 yo.
| Yep It is here My 28th birthday. I have got to say that it has already been a good week. My hubby bought me a new pair of shoes. My Daughter got me a shirt. and I made my cake. Yes I said that. THat I made my own cake. My hubby isnt that handy in the kitchen but that is ok He is still the greatest. I sometime wonder how I wound up with Hubby and Daughter. I know they also took me out to eat for my birthday Tuesday night. I know it was early but it is okay. They made it fun. I love my family so much. I have been teasing hubby about something this week though. Just to be having fun with him. He traded his 1993 chevy for a 2000 ford f150 We will be having to make payments for 3years though but that is fine. Our Jeep is payed for and so we will be okay. We said that when ever we get a new vehicle that we want one payed for so it has worked out. So I have tols him that it my be my birthday but he got the biggest present. He has smiled more this week then in a long time. He always buys his girls stuff and not his self. So He finally found a truck that he liked. Im glad he found it and like it. He needed a new truck. He is always making sure that I have a nice vehicle and his truck is old and ratty. Now he has one and I have a nice one so it has worked out so well. Now if only the tires for both didnt cost a arm and a leg to buy. |

Okay this is My first lapbooking
Alright this is my first lapbooking I have ever done so dont laugh. Tell me what you think about it. My Daughter had fun doing this. We covered the children of Israel , moses, joshua , and Rahab. So this was pretty fun but time consuming.

MOH Vol 1
| Well I finally took pictures of Moses and Joshua and such.from MOH. WE had fun making our tabernacle and Jericho. I posted a link to them on my blog. SO Daughter is seen having fun. We did our bible and bible coloring pages. We used Bratz and Barbie dolls to represent our children of Isreal. I hope you enjoy. THe blocks laying on the ground represents the walls of Jericho. We had fun setting in our tabernacle for bible Daughter actuallly listened to me read the bible in it. She asked about the church in the old days How that they used tents and such. She wonder when did church building come in to play? HUMMMMMMM. I know what we will have to do. Study that. |

Homeschooling and field trips
Well let the field trips began. We are taking one field trip in Oct. and then Feb. and April. So we will going on some field trips for school. The first one we got to do is. a Play Max and Ruby. Daughter cant wait to go. She loves watching the shows and all. She hasnt been to a play before so we will see how well she does.
We went to post office today and the lady there ask her if she was out of school for the day and Daughter told her that we homeschooled. The lady said All that means you school 24-7 I got tickkled about that. It is true She is always wanting to learn and Boy can she ask some questions.
