VBS Report

I just have to share about VBS! We are having VBS this week. Our church is fairly small. We have about 15-20 children usually. I had lots of volunteers and much excitement was generated for VBS, but I must admit, I was still somewhat skeptical. On Monday we had 57 children. Tuesday we had 59. And today we had 62!  It has been amazing. We have several unchurched kids who are coming and some who are new to town and just don't have a church to attend yet.So far things have run very smoothly. There have been some of the usual bumps in the road- printer malfunctions, running low on snack and having to run out and get them, but there have been no major mishaps. All the parents that I have talked to say their kids are having a blast. It has been amazing to me to see how God has worked in the lives of these people in this church to make this happen. I had the idea and ordered the started kit, but I certainly could NOT have brought this about by myself. God has moved tremendously in the hearts and lives of His people to bring us to this place! |
