Once again, I cannot think of a title

Once again, I cannot think of a title! I think I need to set up those entry-catagories thingies, 'cause then you don't have to think of title.

Today I am going to have to do a LOT of work on my room. Momma wants the house to look perfect, because we are having our youth pastor and the new youth intern over for dinner tonight. Mom made the most delicious pies for dessert. According to the recipe card, they are called "Lemon freezer pie," but that name is not very interesting, so I call them "Freezer delight pie." Much more interesting, don't you think?

I have been plowing through books this week. (unfortunately, they are not my school books) Remember how I mentioned that Aunt Sharon gave Patch a book called "The Lightening Thief?" Well, he liked it so much that he used a Barnes& Noble gift card to buy the other three books in the series. Then I started to read the first one, just because I was curious. I was hooked. I started the first book, "The Lightening Thief," on Saturday, then went right on and finished "The Sea of Monsters," "The Titan's Curse," and I am now working on "The Battle of the Labryinth." If you haven't figured it out from the names, the books are about Greek mythology, but in a modern setting. Some of the old "bad guys" are back( ie, Kronos, the Titans, Atlas) along with a bunch of new bad guys to make it interesting. I would definitely reccomend trying them. However, they are not the kind of book where you can read them out of order, because there is a lot of stuff mentioned in previous books that comes into play in the later books. I would say they are adventure books, but there are some really funny parts.

Patch has gone to get a hair cut, and I am sitting here, somewhat brooding over the fact of this big ol' pimple under my nose. It is big, ugly, and on top of that, IT HURTS LIKE CRAZY!!! But fortunately you can't see it very well, because it is hidden in a shadow. It is also itchy, and... Have I brooded long enough, or do you want to hear more? lol.

That is all I can think of for now. Oh, and I hope you all have a great day!

Jun. 2, 2008 - Cleaning

Posted by Your mother

Your mama would like to honor our guests with a clean house, but more importantly, we need to keep our home in order. It currently looks like Katrina II. I will refrain from giving specifics about your room because I'm your favorite mother.

Jun. 2, 2008 - good books

I'm so glad you are enjoying the Percy Jackson and the Olympians books, too. When I brought the first book to the cabin, I meant for it to be for both of you. (I had read several blog entries on how boring the book about Dr. Livingston was, and I thought The Lightning Thief had a lot of action and some humor in it. I figured it would be just the thing to keep you and Patch from being bored to death by books.) Then you said it was his book, so I thought you weren't much interested. I'm glad you decided to give it a try. I'm also glad Patch ordered the other three books and is willing to share them with you. What a great brother! Take care and good luck with your room. I'm sure it will be a good visit and a great evening. And I do like your name for the pie better. Enjoy! Much love, Aunt Sharon

Jun. 2, 2008 - Lack of titles

Aunt Sharon loaned me the Percy Jackson books from her classroom. I liked all of them. Did you notice that I didn't have a real title either? I hope you enjoy your pie and your company this evening. Love, Aunt Karen

Jun. 2, 2008 - Titles

Yes, titles can be a challenge. Have you thought of simply using one-word titles, or play on words? How about "Booked" or "Mythteries" or "Down with Trees!" Pretty bad, huh? I do love reading your blog, dear Tuper.

Jun. 3, 2008 - Random Titles

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a "Browse Random Titles" button to click on HomeschoolBlogger.com - kinda like the "Browse Random Blogs". I always think that should link to "Randomer"s blog - ha! Perhaps you and her could figure out this title thing.

Love ya,
Daddy
