The Wonderful Life of a Tuper

Jun. 6, 2008 - I did more HTML! Woohoo!

Has anyone noticed that when I figure out something new, "Woohoo" is always in my title? Anyways, what my HTML change was is related to my comments. Don't worry, you can still post comments and all, but I changed what they are called, and you will just have to go post a comment to see what I changed it to.

I had a really great entry earlier, I mean it had everything perfect, but then I accidentally clicked a file on our desktop instead of scroll down arrows and lost the whole thing. I was SOO bummed that I just walked away until I decided to take out my anger my my template. Somehow seeing all those crazy letters and numbers calms me down.

Who (but me) is excited about the Belmont? I am going to list a bunch of nonsensical pedigree stuff now, so you can just skip this part if you want to. Did you know that Big Brown has Northern Dancer as a grandparent on both sides? (BTW, that is called a 3 by 3) And that he is a 3 by 4 to Damascus? If you are wondering, those numbers mean that, in relation to Northern Dancer, you would have to go back 3 generations on both sides. The dam's(that is the female parent of a horse) side is the second number.  If you want more about racing, you can read USA today.

There is also a horse named Casino Drive who is also one of A.P. Indy's offspring, just like last year's Belmont winner, the incredible filly Rags to Riches (who beat out last year's horse of the year Curlin, in a stretch battle that was beautiful to behold). This is the running order:

  • Big Brown
  • Guadalcanal
  • Macho Again
  • Denis of Cork
  • Casino Drive
  • Da'Tara
  • Tale of Ekati
  • Anak Nakal
  • Ready's Echo
  • Icabad Crane
That's all for now. Be sure to see my new comment title!

Hey Jan, I hope you have fun watching the race. Go Big Brown. Won't it be fun if there is a triple crown winner? I'm staying at Mammaw's house tonight. That is why I used the same subject line, since I am on her computer. Love, Aunt Karen

Nick just got a 1996 red Ford Mustang. Do you know of any "red horse" names?
