Jun. 8, 2008 - Nobody's too old for funny stuff
Why did Big Brown have to lose? Why, I say, why? I so wanted to have a Triple Crown-er this year Church went really well this morning. We had Sunday School outside today, since all the girls thought the room was too cold. So we went outside and sat on the steps. Then that got too hot, so we went to the small area that you can see from our room's window. It was nice and shady, but still warm. We did chapter 18 from the book we are going through, the Power of a Praying Teen, by Stormie Omartian. Then we did a small bit on Jehovah's Witnesses, since we were all wondering about false religions, and we were curious about what those door-to-door ladies who hand out literature with pictures of Jesus (which make him look like a wimpy hippie) believed. We were all surprised Mom is napping right now, but Patch, Dad, and I are watching VeggieTales Jonah. Hey, nobody's too old for funny stuff.
. Most horses who lost the last jewel still went down as greats in my book, but not him. You know why? He has been running on legal steroids, and since he didn't have any in his system this last race, I think they were enhancing his performance. For one thing, I don't agree with drugging the poor things anyways, but if he runs like that without them, he isn't worthy to be called a great. But I was very impressed with Da'Tara's performance. I mean, leading the whole way, and still winning? Now that is a great horse
.
that people could actually believe that stuff.

Even I'm not too old for Veggie Tales. I'll watch them with you anytime. I agree with you about Big Brown and steroids, but it was still sad to watch his (lack of) performance.

Sorry about Big Brown. I caught the tail end of the race and thought of you.
