My Wonderful Life

Jun. 13, 2008 - Once again, I cannot think of a title

This whole title thing is getting rather aggravating!! I need to make those categories!

Today I went to a youth event. We left at 9:00am to go clean a local middle school. It was my first time ever seeing the inside of a middle school, and it was not exactly a favorable experience. The facilities were hideous, and, may I say, rather outdated. Of course, this particular school does have some of the worst facilities in the area, as I heard from one of the people who was with us. We then ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A. I had a coffee-caramel milkshake. So good. Then we went to a lake swim club, and Hannah and I swam almost the whole time. Unfortunately, I did not get my back, shoulders, or face with sunscreen. Now I am in quite a bit of pain, and am red as a beet. I put some aloe on it, and it feels a bit better, but still, OUCH!!! I am not too preoccupied with the pain, though, because I had a lot of fun, out swimming on a nice sunny day.

Tomorrow we are going to a wedding. I really don't know too much more about it, other than that it is people from my dad's Sunday school class.

I thought I would just put in this picture for laughs. It is a picture of our dog as a puppy (big puppy, huh?) with his now-departed buddy Leo. We had originally put out the tub so they could drink, as it was hot out, but Kodiak decided to take it one step further and sit in the drink. Silly puppy. Hope you all have a great day!!

I hate getting sunburned! I don't burn easily, but last time I was in a pool my scalp got burned. That was bad - it hurt to brush my hair. :P

That picture is really funny!

You have a great day! ~Erica

Jun. 16, 2008 - titles, workdays, and sunburns

Hi, Tuper! Don't worry about the titles. You could do this like the Star Trek log (ask your father). Just put the date as the title. Then we would still know if it was a new entry. See, no more title stress.
I'm glad you had a good time at the youth activity. Many schools in our area are outdated and not maintained as well as they could (or should) be. It's a shame. It was nice of you all to help out. I'm glad you enjoyed the swimming, but with your fair complexion and red hair your mantra has to be "More sunscreen, more often."
I hope you guys had a good time at the wedding. (I hope your sunburn didn't hurt too much the next day.) I also hope that your dad had a great Father's Day. I'm sure he was treated like a king for the day. Take care! Much love, Aunt Sharon
P. S. - I like the new picture. It's great that you can change pictures now, whenever you want.
