Hi, Tuper! Congratulations on your excellent math test score. When I read about your trouble with dividing fractions, I was going to suggest that you lengthen your mantra to "More suncreen, more often. Invert, then multiply." But I guess that won't be necessary now.

How is your sunburn? Hopefully, it's healing quickly and painlessly. On Sunday afternoon, Uncle Dave mowed the grass. He decided to take off his shirt, so he could get some sun. He usually puts factor 8 sunscreen on his arms when he has to work outside (at home or at the mill), but he didn't put on any sunscreen Sunday. We have a small yard, but he was out there long enough to get a pretty bad sunburn on his shoulders and neck. Later Sunday evening he had chills and a fever. We've been applying aloe gel and lotion regularly, but it's still very red and sore. I'm trying to teach him the mantra as well.

Two years ago when we had the 4th grade pool party the last week of school, I advised my students to bring sunscreen and I brought two bottles for kids who forgot or just needed some extra. I reminded students to put on new sunscreen every hour, but I still had two boys (who had sunscreen with them, but didn't re-apply it) get so sunburned that they couldn't come to school the last two days. So last year and this year, I bought cans of aerosol sunscreen (factor 50) and I sprayed the neck, shoulders, and back of every kid who walked by. I also sprayed their hands, so they could put some on their faces. The next day, not one kid was sunburned. See how well sunscreen works? I should buy stock in Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic, or Coppertone.

I hope your homeopathic treatment goes well. Is it for your foot? What's wrong and how does the treatment help? I think homeopathic treatments are a great idea - so many fewer side effects than typical treatments and prescription medicines. Sorry you have to get up so early, though.

I also hope your therapeutic riding sessions go well. It's great that you volunteer to help others. And I hope everything works out so you get to ride, too.

How are your mom, dad, and little brother? Tell them I said "Hi!" and send my love. Take care! Much love, Aunt Sharon
