The Wonderful Life of a Tuper

Jun. 18, 2008 - To answer your question...

Hi all! On my last post AuntSharon typed a tidbit that had a few questions in it. These are my answers to the questions. First,  nothing is wrong with my feet. They are just what goes into the detox bath. Second, a detox bath helps pull toxins out of your system, resulting in feeling a lot better. Third, my sunburn is not healing well. It got water blisters, then peeled like crazy, and now the skin underneath looks like toad skin. It is still peeling, and about every five minutes or so mom comes up behind me and starts to peel the skin off. Patch tried once, be he accidentally pulled out a hair with it, so I haven't let him peel any more  skin off.

Be sure to check out the blogs on my friends list!!

Jun. 20, 2008 - inquiring minds want to know

Posted by AuntSharon

Hi, Tuper! Thanks for the info. and updates. Do the detox soaks make you feel better? Uncle Dave and I have used the patches that you put on the soles of your feet to draw toxins out of your body. You sleep with them on and remove them in the morning. They seemed to work all right for me, but Uncle Dave had a reaction to the adhesive around the edge and it took weeks to heal completely. So we don't use those anymore. I'm sorry your sunburn is taking so long to heal. It must have really been bad. When I was a kid, I used to burn, blister, and peel every summer. That was before the advent of sunscreen, but as an adult, I have have occasionally been that badly burned even while using sunscreen. The sun is not always our friend. I'm glad you got so much riding time Thursday. I'm sure that made you feel good (even if you are tired and sore). I think you're getting attached to those horses already. Good job for helping out! Take care, Aunt Sharon
