Jun. 22, 2008 - I am so blessed!!
Sorry I haven't posted for the last few days! Actually, I will not be posting again for around a week, because I will be at camp!! This is how I ended up being able to go to camp: I was feeling a little sad
about not being able to go to camp, because most of my friends were going. The payment deadline was already past, and they were leaving tomorrow. Sunday school went about as usual, but on the way up to church mom stopped to talk privately to dad. In church, before worship time, mom told me I was going to be able to go to camp because another camper had to drop out and the spot was already paid for. She was so happy that she started crying. I almost went into shock. I am feeling so blessed. God knew the desire of my heart and made it happen. Then we realized that I didn't have enough shorts, nor a one-piece swim suit, nor water shoes, so we have major shopping to do
. But still, God is good and I have been blessed. Anyways, I hope you all have a great week and I will try to post when I get back if at all possible.

I'm so glad that you get to go to camp, since you really wanted to go. You're right - it is a blessing. I hope the camper who is unable to go is all right. I noticed that you mentioned a one-piece bathing suit and water shoes. I assume that means swimming is a camp activity. Don't forget your new mantra:"More sunscreen, more often." Have a great time and take care! Much love, Aunt Sharon

Isn't it just like God to go and do something like make a way for you to go to camp? Have a blast, Tuper!!
Camp can be a life changing experience. The fun seems to come at you like a fire hose... almost too fast to take in all at once. Yet there are some deep parts to the Camp experience. Many meet Jesus for the first time at Camp. Those of us who know Him are often challenged to live for Him in ways we did not consider before. Sometimes it is hard being away from home, especially away from such a refuge like your home. Being with others with differing values, ideas and experiences can be an eye opener. Somehow it all seems to solidify what we know and bring our beliefs to the "where the rubber meets the road" stage.
Can't wait to hear about your time. Know you are in our hearts out here in the Sandbox.
Love you and yours,
Miss Maridee and the Crew
