Have you ever had one of these mornings?
To start with it was a rough night. I woke up at 2 when the 2YO came in to join us, as she often does, only to find that there was NO ROOM for her in our bed! Somehow the 6Yo and 4YO had crawled into bed with us also. I quickly made beds for them on the floor and moved them, but by now 2YO was wide awake and baby was screaming for milk. AACH! I told 2YO to stay in bed with daddy then went to take care of baby. 30 minutes later he was back in bed, but 2YO was still WIDE AWAKE!!!!! She tossed and turned until 5 when hubby got up for work and then she FINALLY drifted off!
The alarm went off at 6:20 and I went to wake up 11YO to get ready for school. OK, so I was supposed to jump in the shower before her, but the bed was way too cozy and inviting. We all snoozed until she woke us at 7 to say she was ready for school. Got up and showered really fast, threw on clothes, warmed up waffles for the kiddos, grabbed portable yogurts and loaded the van--we were on the road by 7:30--not bad for getting 5 people plus myself ready!
Dropped 11 YO off at school and on the way home a train was blocking the road. We had to go all the way downtown jsut to get around it! What a trip! It took us over 30 minutes to make a 15 minute drive!
When we FINALLY got home, the baby was ready for breakfast, and the other 3 girls were rarin' to go--playing with our new kitchen toys now I might add--well, we all have to get dressed now and ready to run.
Today is KidArt--this is our music, art, and physical education for homeschool this year and the kids LOVE it! We get 30 minutes each of art, music, and creative movement (dance). Now this is not all we do for these subjects, but it is a good start and something we all can do together--even the littlest ones. Later this week, we will go to violin lessons and participate in Gospel Force at church--more about both of those later. Not to mention that my kids LOVE art so needless to say we do lots of that at home too.

I admire your ability to get out of the house with five kids! Wow! I can't even manage that with two!
